The MEALS (Main point, Evidence, Analysis, Logic, and synonym), an acronym, is a tool designed to act as a guide to promote ease and excellence in writing endeavors. During his graduate work, Dr. Elsayess developed a new tool with the acronym MEALS. The MEALS method could assist while creating written works to earn a degree. In addition, using this method could allow students to move ahead with a good competency level for writing. Dr. Elsayess utilized the MEALS tool for assessing his students and developing his book. Not only did Lovitts (2007) report a high rate of unacceptable dissertations would lead to university dropout, but also, Lovitts (2007) reported that the Council of Graduate Schools indicated that “a 50% student dropout rate, writing the dissertation reported as the major stumbling block.” Reference: Lovitts, B. Summary The Anatomy of Translation Problems is the summation of the author’s extensive teaching experience in the translation of economic editorials. Throughout the author’s teaching experiences, Dr Lai has identified several problems that occur in a high frequency for both the beginner as well as advanced translators. The ultimate aim of this book is to derive a translation principle that is able to solve a divergent range of translation problems, subsequently leading to the enhancement of translation quality and to show translators how to deal with these problems. First published in 1954, this title is a companion to The Anatomy of Poetry as a literary guide for the student reader. Writing that students generally find it more challenging to analyse a passage of prose than a piece of poetry, Marjorie Boulton takes a systematic approach to the technical elements of prose, considering form, vocabulary, rhythm and the application of historical context. With suggestions for further reading and practical, lucid advice, this reissue will be of particular value to students of English Literature in need of a constructive study aid.

Surgeons around the world need a basic knowledge of English to keep up to date with advances in their field. Fluency in surgical English is important for your professional development, enabling you to attend English-speaking patients with confidence, to study (or work) in other hospitals, speak confidently at international meetings, and to write articles for international journals. This book will provide you with the basic tools to handle day-to-day situations without stress and will help you to improve your English, no matter what your level. To our knowledge, this is the first English book written specifically by surgeons for surgeons. We are sure that surgical specialists from all over the "non-English-speaking world" (general surgeons, thoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons, neurosurgeons, gynecologists, plastic surgeons) will enjoy reading it.
