A vocation is an extremely mysterious reality. The call of God is not something extrinsic; it penetrates to the most intimate centre of the heart. We are what we are on account of this call. The Call of Silent Love is a profound and eloquent examination of the twin themes of vocation and discernment in which the father-master speaks about the nature of a calling, and the interanl and external struggles, the discernment of spirits and the overall framework in which we live our lives. 'The reader is faced with a rare and compelling account of Carthusian spirituality that is simple, sustaining and inviting - to every Christian.' (The Tablet) Other books of classic Carthusian spirituality published by Gracewing include The Prayer of Love and Silence, They Speak by Silences and The Wound of Love.

The theme of this book is the Beatitudes, and the apparent contradictions they contain are shown to offer a radical freedom to those who respond to the call to live wholly in Christ. Here is the important message that this call is not restricted to those who have a vocation to the monastic life, but is to all Christians. The book enables readers of all backgrounds to share the fruits of a hidden and solitary life - a gift that will be universally apprecciated. The classic monastic tradition is opened up in a radical and contemporary vision for us all.

I think people should read this book not only because its one more love story but also because I want people to know that the Internet is not all bad. Its also one more thing we can use for a marriage. Do not get a divorce right away. There are other options to try to work it out. It was very nice to tell my friend Lisa to involve her and her husband together in a dating website. Also, I wanted to show how the solders in Iraq live and how you can make them live a happy moment connecting to his or her partner and dealing with the very sad moments that they are going through.

Embark on an enchanting escapade with a young man who journeys through a lively, diverse yellow brick road reminiscent of Dorothy’s iconic tale. In The Silent Love, author J. D. Morgan offers a collection of captivating poems that vividly depict his adventures and intricately explore his character. What becomes of a dream deferred, that lingers beneath the surface? The lover who feels unseen and unnoticed, who gives his all. As most stories begin, this has a haunting chill in the mind. As the lover tries to express his desires and feelings professedly, there’s an internal struggle within. He’s stressed with work as he strives to navigate daunting days ahead for the will to live. His sleeves always betray his heart; in the sun, his eyes lie. She was his break but was caught up in her world, and she never understood. Indeed, he’ll find a way. In finding his way. With themes of intimacy and romance, The Silent Love is a compilation of love poems to you, to me, and to the ones we hold dear in our hearts.

A unique celebration of silence—in art, literature, nature, and spirituality—and an exploration of its ability to bring inner peace, widen our perspectives, and inspire the human spirit in spite of the noise of contemporary life. Silence is habitually overlooked—after all, throughout our lives, it has to compete with the cacophony of the outside world and our near-constant interior dialogue that judges, analyzes, compares, and questions. But, if we can get past this barrage, there lies a quiet place that’s well worth discovering. The Lost Art of Silence encourages us to embrace this pursuit and allow the warm light of silence to glow. Invoking the wisdom of many of the greatest writers, thinkers, contemplatives, historians, musicians, and artists, Sarah Anderson reveals the sublime nature of quiet that’s all too often undervalued. Throughout, she shares her own penetrating insights into the potential for silence to transform us. This celebration of silence invites us to widen our perspective and shows its power to inspire the human spirit in spite of the distracting noise of contemporary life.

One of the central elements of Karl Rahner's theology is the affirmation that God offers salvation to every human being and, in so doing, empowers each of us to say "yes" to this holy vocation. This divine-human dialogue of offer and response is the heart of Rahner's understanding of Christian faith. In this book, Shannon Craigo-Snell explores what it means to say "yes" to God in Rahner's theology. Drawing on a variety of his writings, Craigo-Snell focuses on three moments in human freedom that Rahner repeatedly points to in describing how we say "yes" to God: silence, love, and death. In Rahner's theology, the theme of silence is often used to mark a posture of openness to the mysterious other, both human and divine, which is a primary characteristic of what it is to be human. This openness to the other is concretely realized in love, such that human identity is both gift received and task accomplished. Further, this self-possessing openness to the other is fully actualized in an eternal inter-communion. Rahner's discussions of eschatology do not center on an affirmation of the immortality of the individual soul, but rather paint a portrait of communally sanctified humanity that draws us forward into ourselves, our community, and God. Attending to these three ways of saying "yes" to God generates an understanding of Rahner's theology as neither modern nor postmodern, but rather a challenging alternative vision that can be a vital resource for contemporary feminist theologies.
