What if death is only an urban legend? On a spring morning in early May, Diane wakes up to find her beautiful 16-year old daughter, Callie, lying dead on the floor of her bedroom. The police find a suicide note in Callie’s jewelry chest and Diane’s whole world, as she had previously known it, falls apart. In the afterlife, Callie meets her great grandma, Ellie, who tells her that she’s in a part of heaven called Summer Wind and can never return home again. She wrestles with her abrupt and impulsive decision to take her own life and witnesses the impact that this event has on all who love her. Diane begins a desperate search for answers by tearing apart Callie’s bedroom looking for anything that might tell her what drove her daughter to suicide. She visits Joy, a spiritual healer, who tells her that she must learn to seek the gift in her experiences rather than remaining addicted to her guilt and pain. Diane struggles with letting go of the daughter she once knew and all her hopes and dreams for the future. Desperate to reassure her mother that she’s okay, Callie attempts to communicate with her from beyond the veil. They both begin a heart-wrenching journey to find one another once again.

This omnibus edition contains the complete trilogy in one volume. Nine years ago, Valya left Krasnograd in disgrace. Now the Tsarina has called her back. Troublesome rumors are afoot, and someone must investigate them. Who better than the Tsarina’s hotheaded, rebellious heir? Valya would like to leave her scandal-ridden past behind her. That might not be an option, though. As part of her plan to heal the rifts within her court, the Tsarina has ordered Valya to make a marriage alliance—with the son of the woman she hates most in the world. To do her duty, Valya may have to swallow her scruples and take up the mantle of dangerous seductress once again. And then there are bigger problems. Valya has uncovered an underground slave trading business, operating right in the heart of Zem’, but her sister princesses refuse to believe her. To cleanse her beloved land of the corruption threatening it, Valya must go on a dangerous journey—one that will reveal not only the truth of the slave trade, but that of the magic Valya carries within her. Valya must heal her family, her land, and her people. She may destroy herself in the attempt. The final installment in the Zemnian Series, this subversive fantasy trilogy returns to the land of Zem’, where trees walk, animals talk, and women rule. With discussion questions at the end.

Valya has won permission to hunt down the slave traders defiling her land and stealing its children. Now begins the most difficult part of her mission: she and her companions must find the perpetrators of this crime, and rescue their victims. But as Valya will discover, the roots of the evil go deep. And saving Zemnian children from death or a life of degrading servitude is not Valya’s only concern. She still must win the heart and hand of the son of her worst enemy, and unite the steppe with the rest of the country at a time when the succession and the very life of the Tsarina hangs in the balance. And then there is the question of her daughter’s magical gifts—and, it may be, her own. A young couple travels by car around a lake in Marshland, within the Portobello coast. The tour they perform brings them several memoirs about an ancient treasure, supposedly brought there by the Normans when founding a colony in Murtoyland, a small town on the edge of lake Avia. The treasure hunt begins guided by some old maps the protagonists carry with them. Although, will they ever reach such a treasure? NOTICE: Port Obal is the name of an ancient Phoenician port that is thought to have been situated on the northern banks of lake Avia, also known as Ria or the Haff. In this narrative many names of places like villages, towns and cities, are used but only a few of them are coincident with the current or original name. Merging Past with Present, the narrator makes the reader watching to ancient historic scenes such as the invasion of Murtoyland by the Normans, who left forgotten treasures in those territories, and presents the readers with a brief visit to the ruins of the ancient Fort of Car Regal and to the lost giant Towers of the Ria. The Marshland islands are a grateful stopover to the narrator and his girlfriend Michaela, once it allows them to describe the animal and plant biodiversity on these Islands that currently proliferate through the Haff due to increasing council drainage interventions that are the source and the knot of discord generated by different political ideologies in Port Obal and Aviarium cities. Nevertheless the treasure left by the Normans is still there, where the Normans left it, we are to assure you. Question is: Who will be the lucky one to find this Norman Treasure?
