I crawl away and shut myself in a room with my Beatle records, the music that would keep me from suicide and strong enough to care for our baby daughter. This was the aftermath of his tours of duty in Vietnam, bringing that war home to our front door, letting itself in uninvited, causing both of us to relive the demons of the violence he experienced over there. It is a story that many women of my era who were married to combat Vietnam vets seldom tell; and who certainly wouldn't commit to paper. It's not a book about The Beatles; but their music is the backdrop to my story, a passion, a love and a musical therapy at the time that absolutely kept me alive. It is the story of the terror a war can bring home and how it can continue with devastating consequences. At that time; when our soldiers returned home from Vietnam; there was no mental health support program for us or our families. They were simply dropped back into a society that despised them and the war they fought; forcing them to internalize the trauma and relive it every day in their minds, and in our homes. Too many committed suicide, too many took my husband's path of physical violence, until finally, during the Gulf Wars our government recognized the need for "debriefing" and PTSD therapy when soldiers returned home; but it is still a token gesture. My story highlights how bad it really was back then and how much more attention needs to be drawn towards the minimal mental health care that our returning veterans receive today.

Designed to boost self-esteem, celebrate diversity, and build confidence in children ages 2-5, this beautifully illustrated rhyming picture book encourages kids to feel good about their hair, no matter how different it may be from other kids. In this hair-positivity book, children will meet Lola. Lola has really big curly hair, much bigger than the other kids at her school. While her big hair leads to lots of stares, ruins her games of hide and seek, and makes her easy to spot in a crowd, Lola embraces her differences and keeps kids entertained with the book's catchy refrain "I've got big hair and I don't care!"

For hundreds of thousands of years, humanity focused on space as a location. Today, space is not just a destination-it is a domain, an ecosystem, an enabler of progress, and quite possibly the most valuable industry of the twenty-first century.Three things you need to know: Space as an industry is notoriously complex-which means it's misunderstood. Space influences and benefits nearly every other industry on the planet. Accessing space has never been easier.Space investor and entrepreneur Robert C. Jacobson provides a comprehensive overview of this spectacular industry, allowing everyone on Earth to understand the integral role space plays in our lives and how it will continue to transform the world. Over one hundred industry experts share exclusive insights, presenting a 360-degree view of the wide-ranging space industry, its emerging opportunities, investment potential, benefits on Earth, and more.Space Is Open for Business provides a framework for those outside of the industry to understand the critical context that led to the commercial movement known as NewSpace, illustrating how private sector trailblazers have evolved this $350 billion global industry and how NewSpace's exponential growth will lead our world into a new era of progress.Foreword by David S. Rose Founder, New York Angels | Associate Founder, Singularity University"A sweeping guide that will inspire you to think big about space, the space economy, and your role within it."Matthew C.
