The Journey Back One Man S Fight

Recounts the personal story and international travels of a professional fighter, from his initial discovery of his passion for fighting upon his arrival in Australia, to his training at Bangkok's legendary Fairtex gym, to his research throughout the world in search of historical and contemporary fighting disciplines. Part One is one of betrayal and a path that leads into darkness. The path traces the authors life from sixteen to twenty-seven years old, and starts with the first two women he dated. He was Catholic then, and lonely. Part Two chronicles his time with Carolyn: how they met, how the Lord transferred all the love he had for the first woman he dated to Carolyn. Its about how she gave him four wonderful children, only to find out she had cancer when the last child was born. This is about how he lost everythingeven his belief in the Lord. But he kept a promise that his late wife asked of him: Keep the kids all together, under your roof, and take them to Sunday school and church. If you do those two things, the Lord will forgive all the rest. Part Three tells of how he meets his present wife of thirty-two years and how she married into a family that had four kidswhen she only had one. It visits how they started and built their business through the years. It also tells of the hurt and pain that came with the death of two sons, and how the man did not get angry with the Lord, despite how little help he received from his family.

This is a harrowing true story of how one man overcame a near-death experience and lived to tell about it. He fought every day with his wife and children by his side. Relearning everything from speaking to feeding himself, his wife never gave up hope. No matter what the cost, his wife would do it to make sure that he was well taken care of. She spent many sleepless nights wondering when he would be coming home. Balancing a full-time job, family, discord and her husband clinging to life, and kids, she was at her wits end and needed all the support she could get. Reluctantly she moved her mother-in-law in with her. Would her husband make a full recovery? Would life return to normal? That and many other questions still remained unanswered.

Something that, when you started your walk of faith, took you a little out of your comfort zone? It took Dad a little bit out of his comfort zone when he felt God calling him to go to college to prepare for the gospel ministry. He didnt have enough money to pay for a college education; however, he believed with Gods help he could find a way to pay his bills. Dad enrolled as a student at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, for the fall semester of 1941.

One Man’s Journey is a re-imagining of events that occurred from the day of Tony Blair's resignation in 2007. The story is a satirical take on our hero's search for meaningful employment from that date onwards. We follow Tony in his desperation to find a job. His bitterness at having being forced out of office pervades the entire story as does his wish to be re-united with his best friend, former-President Bush. Following a traumatic event, Tony is finally contacted by George who offers him a job: to be his personal representative on the first manned NASA mission to the planet Mars. In light of very little else, he accepts and blasts off to Mars accompanied by a crew of elderly astronauts. But the mission isn't as plain sailing as he'd hoped and Tony's time could be running out...

Michael Calvert was one of the legendary figures of the Second World War. He hit the headlines as 'Mad Mike' after the first Chindit campaign in 1943, with a reputation as a tough and daring leader of guerrilla troops. He was one of the first men selected for the Chindits by the controversial General Orde Wingate. He became Wingate's right-hand man - both in fierce jungle fighting and in battles against stick-in-the-mud staff officers. His speciality was penetrating behind enemy lines. Mad Mike fought in the snow and ice of Norway, in the steaming jungles of Burma, and on the battlefields of Europe where in 1945 he commanded the crack Special Air Service Brigade.

"One Mans Thoughts and Life in Good time and Bad' is a compilation of Charles T. Johnson life and situations that he saw and lived that gave him a thought to write about. He takes a situation and coverts into a story poem with a moral ending. Every poem has a description following the poem that explains why it was written and the Spiritual lesson that he got from that situation. The book is not totally about him but describes how all things can have a message that can show each of us how we can view our life and learn how we all can grow Spiritually in our own life.

ARGYLL STREET is a historical novel based on the life of William Gregory who was born in Aspull, Lancashire, in 1879. He followed his Father and Brother to work in the coal mine at the age of ten. In 1906 William emigrated to Canada and was joined by his wife Elizabeth and two children a year later. They lived at 38 Argyll Street, Sydney, Glace Bay NS. Following the outbreak of WW1 in 1916 he returned to the UK serving with the 25th Battalion Nova Scotia Rifles (Cape Breton Highlanders). In August 1917 the unit was part of the 5th Infantry Brigade which distinguished itself at the Battle of Hill 70, a northern suburb of Lens. William was killed in action on the 16th August and is buried in the Aix Noulette Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
