The Toff Among The Millions

The Toff is visiting Easton Hall, a quiet country hotel. It is more suited to the retired looking for rest than excitement, but upon this occasion does not live up to its reputation. A man is found dead in the swimming pool, and ‘The Toff's’ friend Teddy Merchant disappears. He must solve what turns out to be a multi-layered mystery.

At the famous London waxworks museum there was a model of the ‘The Toff’, albeit in the Chamber of Horrors. The Toff viewed the blonde artist, Daffodil, as a brainless sexpot. The model was then damaged, Daffodil disappeared, the museum was in uproar, and the Toff was involved with some quite unpredictable girls – and death!

Will Hall had been kidnapped and the Honourable Richard Rollison, known by the apt if absurd soubriquet of The 'Toff' is soon on the scene, but not before a murdered man falls into Valerie Hall's arms. Action and a rich private eye and the NYPD all on the case, with the Toff tracking Dutch Himmy, surely the worst man in New York . . . .

The Honourable Richard Rollison, (aka ‘The Toff’) is once again on the cricket field, indulging in one of his favourite pastimes, when he is called away. A girl has been kidnapped and her life is in danger. He has to find a way through hidden secrets from a grim past in order to solve this series of crimes.

Towards the end of World War II elements of the German High Command flee to Japan. Dr. Palfrey leaves for the East disguised as a German officer. He seeks ‘The Colony of the Fourth Reich’ believed to be situated in China. His disguise uncovered, he must find a way out with vital information that will affect the whole outcome of the war.

Roger ‘Handsome’ West of Scotland Yard is called to help solve a double murder in a printing works. The victims were lovers and suspicion falls on the woman’s husband. Then the works is sabotaged and there is a further murder. The local police are not impressed by West’s methods, and he realises there is more to this case than he thought.

A pattern is developing – murder committed by a man who stops cars being driven by prosperous businessmen – and Roger (‘Handsome’) West of Scotland Yard must solve the case. West has problems in getting to the truth as people he is trying to protect lie, and his assistant falls in love with a witness. Meanwhile, the murderer is at large ...
