The Two Gospels Paul Jesus

While the modern day Christian Church follows the Gospel of Paul, it wasn't always so. The early church followed the Gospel of Jesus. There are two Gospels! I doubt that many people realize that there are two Gospels and they are polar opposites. The church jumps through hoops and does all it can to synchronize Paul's teachings with Jesus' teachings, but it failed. When you read in this book the comparison of the two Gospels, you will see why they are incompatible. They are so incompatible that they can't both exist in the church so the church has rejected Jesus' Gospel in favor of the Paul's Gospel of 'lawlessness'. The second half of the book deals with Paul. Many love Paul and his teachings, and embrace them in place of Jesus' teachings. Other see Paul as an anti-christ figure, teaching a Gospel that is the opposite of the Gospel Jesus taught. PAUL'S exhortation to the younger preacher, Timothy, has come home to many with great power in recent years. As a result, there has been a return to more ancient methods of Bible study, which had been largely neglected during the centuries of the Church's drift from apostolic testimony. Augustine's words have had a re-affirmation: "Distinguish the ages, and the Scriptures are plain." And so there has been great emphasis put in many quarters, and rightly so, upon the study of what is commonly known as "dispensational" truth.

It has been fashionable in New Testament scholarship to view the apostle Paul as a religious "freelancer" who corrupted Jesus' teachings. There are two great revelators, or unfolders of Divine Truth in the Bible,—Moses in the Old Testament, and Paul in the New. Some one may say, “Is not Christ the Great Teacher?” In a sense this is true; but in a real sense Christ is the Person taught about, rather than teaching, in the Gospel. The law and the prophets pointed forward to Christ; the epistles point back to Him; and the book of Revelation points to His second coming, and those things connected with it. The Four Gospels tell the story of how He was revealed to men, and rejected by them. Christ Himself, therefore, is the theme of the Bible. Moses in the law reveals God’s holiness, and thus by means of the Law reveals human sin, and the utter hopelessness and helplessness of man. Paul in his great epistles reveal Christ as our Righteousness, Sanctification, Redemption, and All in All.
