A HarperElixir Book The beloved teacher of spiritual wisdom and author of the phenomenal New York Times and international bestseller The Four Agreements takes readers on a mystical Toltec-inspired personal journey, introducing us to a deeper level of spiritual teaching and awareness. In 2002, Don Miguel Ruiz suffered a near fatal heart attack that left him in a nine-weeks-long coma. The spiritual journey he undertook while suspended between this world and the next forms the heart of The Toltec Art of Life and Death, a profound and mystical tale of spiritual struggle. As his body lies unconscious, Ruiz’s spirit encounters the people, ideas, and events that have shaped him, illuminating the eternal struggle between life—unending energy and truth—and death—matter and subjective knowledge—in which we are all called to engage. Over ten years in the making, The Toltec Art of Life and Death invites readers into the mind of a master of spiritual seeking, offering an unparalleled and intimate glimpse into the development of a soul. In this culmination of a lifetime's learning, Ruiz shares with readers the innermost workings of his singular heart and mind, and summons us to grapple with timeless insights, drawn from ancient Toltec wisdom, that are the essence of transformation.

An exploration of the teachings made popular by Carlos Castaneda • Offers accessible instructions for Toltec spiritual and mystical practices • Represents the conclusion of an 18-year learning task assigned by don Juan Matus • Includes a new preface for this 10th anniversary edition On the Toltec Path is an overview of the theory, discipline, and practice of the Toltec Way, a philosophy and heightened way of perceiving the world taught by the Indian seer don Juan Matus. As a philosophy, it is a method of inquiry using the Toltec three Rs: re-examination, re-interpretation, and re-formulation. As a way of perceiving the world, it offers sophisticated processes of managing perception through dreaming, visions, and learning to see the world as both ordinary and non-ordinary reality. By contrasting and balancing these two realities we are able to stand apart from both and pick and choose the best each has to offer. Learning how to become a true seer enables us to realize the purpose and meaning of our life. The works of Carlos Castaneda have long been among the best-known introductions for those who wish to study the Toltec Way. However, many who want to learn the practical and technical aspects of this path have found it difficult to discern the details of the techniques buried in Castaneda’s narrative. In this book Ken Eagle Feather provides a complete and accessible explanation of all the technical aspects of the Toltec spiritual and mystical practices. He offers a thorough exploration of Castaneda’s works and a verification of don Juan Matus’s teachings through his own 30 years of personal experiences and observations of the Toltec Way. On the Toltec Path serves as a practical guide to the Toltec Way and offers a valuable complement to the narrative works of Castaneda and other Toltec authors.

AMAZING READ! The dances, the songs, the Ball Game and the Xochiyaoyotl or Florida War, were vehicles to achieve extraordinary vibrational levels to transmute themselves, transform reality or their perception and go beyond the ordinary senses. When Europeans were privileged to witness these zoomorphic transmutation acts of Power, they were terrified by the obviousness of their prejudices, their dogmas of faith, or their belief systems. They never understood the visionary significance of Toltec thought. There are innumerable historical chronicles such as the one narrated by the soldier Francisco de Fuentes y Guzmán, a member of Pedro de Alvarado's Hispanic army, about the battle of 1524 against the powerful Nagual Tecun Uman, a great eagle warrior, and great necromancer who took the form of his nagual, He flew over his squadrons, commanding with the scepter rich in emeralds that he carried, what his generals, ahaus and captains of his army had to execute, who also took the form of snakes, tigers and lions. This mighty Nagual with fascinating agility was said to soar through the air to fiercely attack the invading army, severing the horses with a single slash with his weapon. But like every good warrior, he said goodbye to this wonderful underworld on the battlefield There are also testimonies from both chroniclers and oral traditions about the historical role of the Mayan warrior leader Jacinto Kaanek, whose meaning is black serpent. One of the main testimonies is referred by Nicholas Cahuich, who describes Kaanek as a bearer of magical powers and recounts in detail the extraordinary anecdotes when he publicly declared himself a defender of freedom. Of course, these testimonies are inspired by the obtuse vision of a mind limited by beliefs. But historical facts give us a clear idea of the guilt complex that existed in the colonizers when they oppressed and enslaved the original peoples. Motivated by extreme terror, Kaanek was dismembered and reduced to ashes, as well as his main associates were hanged. The people who supported him during his resistance movement that began in 1761 in Cisteil, a Mayan town in the south of what is now Yucatan Mexico, was burned in its entirety and tons of salt was poured into it, I suppose to counteract the nobility warrior with colonial hoax gadgets.
