This book traces the journey of a boy called Svet Ketu as he goes through situations and experiences in life which shape his journey towards self-realization - Like all studious middle class boys across India, he is also enchanted by the IIT's and spends his early years in cracking the competitive exams while simultaneously dealing with father's Parkinson's disease.
