There is a secret place Where only I can go. It is a quiet place Far from life’s ebb and flow. It is a place of kindness, Of faith and hope and love. John Francis Wallace III loves God. Yet although many believers talk about how much they love the Lord, John has discovered that the more time he spends with God, the more he realizes that God loves him more than he loves Him. One way that God has shown his great love for John is through his journey into poetry. In a collection of inspirational poems inspired by John’s experiences and relationships firmly rooted in the teachings of the Bible, he reflects on sorrows and joys of everyday circumstances while reminding others that God dearly loves each of us, no matter our faults or sins. Within poems shared in three parts, John offers his favorite verse that explores faith, prayer, and hope in a multitude of ways, reveals a candid glimpse into his struggles to understand all the challenges that God has placed in his path, and the good fight he continues as he pursues his divine purpose to inspire other believers. They Say Some Clouds Are Silver Lined is a volume of inspirational poems rooted in biblical truths that honor God and provide hope that He will always love us more than we love Him.

Meteorologist Sky Matthews does not like surprises. Sky monitors her life like she does the weather, carefully and with a scientific eye. So, when she misses out on her dream job abroad and finds herself with no choice but to take a position on a tidal island off the Cornish harbour town of St Felix instead, she feels completely at sea. Worse still, she has to work alongside TV weatherman Sonny Samuels, who barely knows his storms from his tsunamis. It doesn't take long for Sky to become enchanted by the strange weather patterns over St Felix. Sonny is convinced they link to local folklore, but Sky knows her science too well to fall for that. Until she meets Walter, a local weather watcher with no qualifications beyond a lifetime of experience and Sky is forced to question everything she thought she knew about the weather, herself... and Sonny. _______________ Praise for Ali McNamara: An enchanting escape. In this work, the author addresses a perennial question: how does someone recover from a catastrophic disaster or other personal tragedy? The answer, she suggests, may come from coastal residents who survived the 2005 Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. These survivors endured a long and painful journey after losing homes and communities in these deadly storms, and their experiences provide an authentic and relatable example for other people who must overcome a life changing tragedy. The Other Side of Suffering is based on behavioral research conducted by the author in the years after the hurricanes. In her research, Katie Cherry logged thousands of miles crisscrossing the Louisiana coastline and spoke with over 190 current and former coastal residents with catastrophic losses after Katrina. The author begins with an overview of the human impact of these disasters, and then focuses on the community impact on two coastal parishes in southern Louisiana. The incorporation of the personal journal entries of a Katrina survivor provides an intimate glimpse into the long days and months that over a million displaced Gulf Coast residences experienced. From this research, the author identifies six evidence-based principles of healing: faith and humor, respect and gratitude, and acceptance and silver linings. Colorful illustrations and direct quotes from the respondents bring these principles to life. Along with a path to healing, the book also discusses grief and the new normal after a disaster, as well as obstacles that may thwart the healing process. Ultimately, the work emphasizes the importance of recovering daily routines and observances as life goes on after disaster.
