Maintain and promote industrial wood production from suitable timber lands, providing a continuous supply of wood to meet society's needs. Provide a diversity of opportunities for resource uses that contribute to the local and regional economies of Southeast Alaska. Support a wide range of natural resource employment opportunities within Southeast Alaska communities. Maintain a F orest-wide system of old-growth forest habitat to sustain old-growth associated species, and ensure that the reserve system meets the minimum size, spacing and composition criteria in Appendix K of the Forest Plan.
