Ultra Thick Slip On Bootie Slippers

This is the extra thick version of my very popular Moccasin Slippers with a Cuff pattern. People had requested that this be made into an extra thick version to wear longer and knit up quicker. So I did. You can use either a double strand of worsted weight yarn OR one strand of super bulky yarn to make them. And you can make them from a woman’s size 6 to a man’s size 14. The pattern is knitted on 2 (two) sets of single pointed needles, but don’t worry. I’ve provided a bunch of photos to show you how to do this. It sounds more complicated than it really is. The pattern itself only involves the knit and purl stitch, k2tog and picking up stitches. Easy peasy! For real. For this version of my knitted fingerless gloves, I'm doing something different. Instead of starting at the cuff, I'm starting at the fingers and working down to the cuff. This isn't an overly complicated pattern. In fact, it only uses very basic stitches and is great if you are looking for something that is quick to make. Or, if you're a new knitter, looking for something slightly more challenging. As long as you know how to knit, purl and knit 2 stitches together, you'll be able to make these. And any parts that might trick you up, like casting on for the thumb, have a how-to video to help you along.

I wanted to make a toque (or beanie) with my favourite owl motif for a while now. I finally got around to it and I have to say, it turned out better than I thought! The pattern uses worsted weight yarn and size 5 mm (size 8 US) single pointed knitting needles and a cable needle. If you don’t know how to do cable stitches, I’ve added scannable QR codes to videos to help you along. This knitting pattern is knit flat making it very easy to make. I indicate where to change the colours of yarn in the pattern so there isn’t any confusion. But please note, you can knit the beanie in one solid colour also. There’s no reason why you can’t. This toque is in adult sizes only!

Knit flat on 2 needles with regular worsted weight yarn with single pointed knitting needles this will certainly be the most unique pieces you’ll make in a while. Not sure if this pattern is for you? The pattern gives instructions to make small, medium and large sizes. And have no worries about the hippos ever falling off. They are created while you knit and are incorporated into the fingerless mittens. A quick note on sizing. Like my other fingerless glove patterns, the sizes are adjusted by changing the size of the knitting needles. It gives a better overall look and maintains the proportion of the hippo to the glove. This knitted slipper pattern makes for a quick to knit, extra thick slipper with minimal seams. The top is joined to the sole as you knit the sole of the slipper. This is not a pattern for beginners, but easy to do if you have some knitting experience. Photos are supplied to clarify any confusing parts of the design. This pattern gives instructions to make slippers from a woman’s size 6 to a man’s size 12. You can use either 2 strands of worsted weight yarn or Super Bulky yarn.
