Two Deadly Assassins are set to Trigger a Third World War! At the bidding of the US President, Lance Bellinger is ordered back into the field and returned to active duty. His aim – to unite those ethnic factions inside of Myanmar who've suffered terribly at the hands of its military junta. Heeding the call, the CIA's Deputy Head of Special Operations embarks on a covert Black Ops mission aimed at carving out an independent territory for these oppressed peoples. The plan itself may be a noble one, but some of its chief supporters have hidden motives that are anything but selfless. And behind the scenes, these powerful figures are plotting to advance their own interests at any cost, even if that means sacrificing Lance Bellinger. And so it is that Bellinger's mission descends into chaos as he finds himself shadowed by deadly pursuers who always seem to be a step ahead of him. All of the spy's old certainties crumbling – and his sense of security with them – until he can no longer distinguish friend from foe. The whole assignment teetering on the brink of disaster as the dangers multiply, threatening to steal his life away. The same can be said of Mandy Aung, a foreign aid worker who has dedicated her life to the betterment of displaced Burmese refugees. Now she finds herself in the same firing line as the CIA operative as they make a series of clandestine trips into Myanmar. The pair brought close together by a shared sense of purpose and the deadly risks they both face. Meanwhile, a diplomatic conference in Bangkok assumes monumental significance with tensions rising, and the whole region on a knife edge. Designed to promote cooperation in Southeast Asia, it threatens to ignite global conflict and shake the world to its very foundations. Plans are afoot to enact a shocking bloodbath which will have extreme political consequences. A murderous ambition advanced by two highly skilled assassins who are equally capable of carrying the day. With the touchpaper lit, and the clock ticking, it's left to Bellinger and his allies at Thailand's National Intelligence Agency to foil the stunning plot and uncover the true architects of the planned devastation. A desperate manhunt that receives unlikely assistance from a former enemy who retains a burning hatred of the CIA. Until The Karma Ends is a multi-layered thriller that sheds light on the shadowy spy world, with its fleeting alliances and ever-present threat of double-dealing. Acclaimed author Paul Adirex employing his consummate skills as a storyteller – and first hand knowledge of international diplomacy and the intelligence services – to create a stunning tale full of moral complexity and explosive drama. The result is a dazzling work of popular fiction that combines these thrilling elements to brilliant effect.

Life is pretty good for Chet, a giant dome-backed tortoise native to the Galapagos islands, who takes centre stage in this incredible story of spirited resistance. Blessed with a mate he loves, a couple of healthy offspring, and a ready supply of dwarf apples and opuntia cactus, he has little cause for complaint. Moreover, he’s well thought of by the other island residents and can count among his friends a wide range of colorful creatures, including sea lions, marine iguanas, brown pelicans, blue footed boobies, and lava lizards. Not that life is altogether perfect with the ever present threat of volcanic eruption to contend with, and yet it’s a settled existence full of small pleasures, and regular seasonal changes, which suits Chet and his family very well. However, things are about to change dramatically, and take a serious turn for the worse, when a terrible menace appears on the far horizon, heading ever closer to shore . . . This looming menace takes the form of a marauding pirate vessel blown off course after being separated from its sister ship. As such, it represents a very different kind of threat to that posed by the island’s natural predators, such as hawks, herons, and mockingbirds. Instead of just filling their bellies, these bloodthirsty buccaneers are hellbent on stripping the island of its every last edible morsel, and won’t let anything get in their way. Faced with such mortal danger, the moment has arrived for all creatures great and small to stand up and be counted. One thing is for certain – it will take all of their ingenuity, audacity, and courage to survive this perilous encounter and drive the murderous invaders away.

In search of missing pilots, a lost people, and treasure beyond compare! The mighty Mekong river has long been a fertile source of mystery. Wending its way through Southeast Asia, it's given birth to many a myth, legend, and fable, as well as being home to weird phenomenon that defy all known logic. The same can be said of those countless miles of dense jungle that surround the famous waterway, withholding any number of age-old secrets. Little wonder that this remote territory fires the popular imagination, or that, within its massive boundaries, rampant superstitions still hold sway . . . So when a sudden spate of bizarre disappearances occurs in Chiang Kong, a booming Thai border town, the stage is set for this rollicking adventure novel. A mystery that becomes all the more feverish when several strangely-disfigured corpses wash up on the riverbank, triggering widespread fear. It's an unsolved case that consumes Mekong's three heroes as well, supercharging their existing obsessions. For Major Johnny Draco, it's the exhaustive search for American pilots who've been missing in action since the time of the Vietnam War. While for anthropologist Kim Baker, it's the hunt for a lost civilization alluded to in several ancient documents. As for Dave Shawn, it's the culmination of a spiritual quest that has its roots in personal tragedy. A quest that may finally reveal his inner essence and shine a light on centuries past. Together, the intrepid trio embark on a perilous river journey, acting on the advice of an enigmatic forest monk whose stunning assertion will soon start to seem all too credible. According to the holy man, the killer on the loose is a creature from Buddhist mythology with powers that beggar belief! It's an expedition that will lead them into the heart of the darkness, where fantastical serpents are far from the only menace that must be confronted. Deep within the Golden Triangle, murderous drug lords and their powerful allies represent an equally tangible threat. With every mile traveled, the line between myth and reality continues to blur until their collective destiny stands revealed to them. And as the three truth seekers arrive at the edge of a lost world which redefines the limits of time and space, a trove of hidden secrets (and buried treasure!) finally comes to light.

In an age of empires, the art of governance is the ultimate test! The year is 1767 and the Kingdom of Ayutthaya teeters on the brink of collapse, brought to the edge of annihilation by invading Burmese forces. Breaking the siege of the capital, a courageous hero rides forth from this once great capital city, intent on reviving its former glories, no matter how many obstacles stand in his way. Such is the stunning premise, based on historical fact, which Rattanakosin explores to the utmost. Immersing the reader in a world where skilled diplomacy, sheer force of will, daring brinkmanship, and Machiavellian scheming all have their place. Faithful to the epoch in which it's set, this epic novel brings to life an incredible era where outside invaders and the enemy within are equally likely to trigger a King's downfall; and where rulers must be no less watchful in guarding against their own inner demons, including greed, envy, anger, and hubris. With a broad swathe of Southeast Asia serving as its richly embroidered backdrop, Rattanakosin paints a masterly portrait of a region undergoing convulsive change as ancient tradition and rampant modernity clash incessantly to create karmic consequences that will echo down the centuries. Following the fortunes of monarchs, nobles, spiritual masters, duplicitous aides, consummate swordsmen, and other skilled exponents of war. In addition, it details the hazardous path taken by four friends from very different walks of life whose enduring loyalty will survive the rise and fall of empires, and even death itself! For many of these vividly drawn characters, hard choices await – and even harder sacrifices – in their quest for self-determination. A journey that will lead them from the contested heartlands of their fledgling Kingdom to the far reaches of Indochina in the search for lasting glory and strategic advantage. The balance of power shifting repeatedly as rival generals march their vast armies through valleys low and mountains high. And for two brothers who do the King's bidding, it's a journey that will lead them to their ultimate destiny. The day arriving when they must set aside their existing loyalties to hold a nation together, forging a new dynasty which will see the city of Bangkok rise from its humble beginnings to become the famed metropolis which the world knows today . . . From acclaimed author Paul Adirex comes this dazzling epic which skillfully interweaves established fact with sustained flights of the imagination; erudite knowledge and explosive action scenes; spiritual insight and political drama. A powerful testimony to the spirit of a nation, it breathes new life into the annals of Thailand's golden age like few novels before.
