Are you at a crossroads? Do you wonder what should you do with your life? Would life be easier if you could only get some direction? Even if people don't chit-chat about legacies, these are questions arising during silent nights in the mind of almost everyone. Especially in those of us reaching certain life miles like adulthood, middle life and retirement. Have you ever noticed the process of metamorphosis in a butterfly? Getting out of its chrysalis is difficult and painful. You may think you're doing it a service by cutting the upper part of its chrysalis to ease its access out of it. But if you'll do that, the butterfly won't have its wings well developed and it will be crippled for the rest of its life. Struggles and challenges are necessary for metamorphosis to take place. They are necessary for creating and building a legacy too. While you are the ONLY one responsible for knowing what makes you live another day in your own skin and in your own situation, this collection of ideas on getting started to creating and building a legacy could be just the right direction you need. A purpose in life is the main reason people go on no matter what happens to them in the present moment. Such a purpose makes life not only bearable, but enjoyable too. Hence my focus on this collection of ideas is for those who understand the importance of leaving a legacy behind, but haven't got a clue of why they live and what should they do with their lives. It is an inspiring collection for creatives in general and people who never viewed themselves as creative or who never thought they could build anything worthwhile. These ideas are organized as a flashcard set and should be read and processed accordingly. Go through all these flashcards and pick one idea. Focus on it 100% before trying another one if you'd like to. On the back of each card you will find some starting points. This is how I'd start any of these projects. But these steps are not enough - you'll need mentors, detailed information and time to practice. If you set out your heart on one of these projects, you'll face a steep learning curve until you'll learn the ropes and make things happen. If any of these 101 ideas inspired you, I'd love to hear from you! http: //longevityletter.com/contact

Aging is a puzzle to solve. This process is traditionally studied in a couple of biological models like fruit flies, worms and mice. What all these species have in common is their fast aging. This is excellent for lab budgets. It is a great short-term strategy. Who has time to study species that live for decades? But lifespan differences among species are magnitudes of order larger than any lifespan variation achieved in the lab. This is the reason for which I studied countless information resources in an attempt to gather highly specialized research into one easy-to-follow book. I wanted to see the forest among the trees. I wanted to expose the aging gap between species in an easy-to-follow and logical sequence. This book is my attempt at doing just that. What are the mechanisms underlying the aging gap between species? I intentionally chose to write the answer to this question in plain English. Aging research is too important to hide it behind the closed doors of formal scientific jargon. This book could not have existed if green tea, libraries and the Internet were not invented. The amount of data I had to browse in order to keep the essential patterns is huge. Yet this book is not exhaustive. This is not a dry academic textbook. I tried to instill life in a topic that is hugely important for the extension of human lifespan. Only you can decide if I achieved this. ********* TABLE OF CONTENTS *********** Finding the Forest Among the Trees Being Reliable Counts The Mathematics of Aging The Speed of Senescence Case Study: Aging in Fish How to Estimate Chronological Age Taking Life Slowly On Temperature and Aging Dormancy The Housekeeping Problem Case Study: Aging in Turtles Intracellular Junk Case Study: Aging in Crustaceans Extracellular Junk Case Study: Protein Quality Control The Sweet Poison Are Cell Membranes the Pacemakers of Metabolism? CB Insights study suggests that 42% of startups fail because they do not identify the right need, in other words: there is no need for the startup or product in the first place. The issue here is the lack of tools used to generate the ideas and validate those. Bottom line, this issue is about a structured approach to idea generation and problem-solving. Do you know that most people engaged in collective problem solving spend a lot of their valuable time in meetings, discussing ideas, which they think eventually do not add value to product or startup? Harvard Business Review survey suggests that 71% of managers feel that meetings do not help accomplish much, as they do not have specific templates and exercises to guide specific outcomes with engagement from participants. THE SOLUTION BOOK is going to help you in experimenting with ideas effectively by providing you steps on how to create a framework for coming up with new ideas and products, considering a variety of views, develop teamwork and collaboration keeping you better focused on your results and outcomes. The solution book consists of 101 easy to follow techniques on problem-solving and ideation. Startup, innovation and venture failures are expensive and justified only by lack of tools and data for analysis. The book caters to all stages in your lifecycle as a creative thinker and problem solver with tools to optimize your resources, go beyond conventional solutions and experiment with divergent (out of the box) thinking thanks to Elina Kallas, a researcher on entrepreneurship education with European Commission and in entrepreneurship at Harvard University, and Vidyangi Patil, an interdisciplinary professional of Biomedical Engineering with an extensive startup and research experience.

Conservation of architecture - and the conversation of Modern architecture in particular – has assumed new challenges. Rather than attempting to return a Modern building to its resumed original state, the challenge of these proceedings is to revalue the essence of the manifold manifestations of Modern architecture and redefine its meanings in a rapidly changing world of digital revolution, worldwide mobility and environmental awareness. This volume aims to provide a variety of platforms for the exchange of ideas and experience. A large, international group of architects, historians, scholars, preservationists and other parties involved in the processes of preserving, renovating and transforming Modern buildings has been invited to investigate the paradox of the Modern monument, and to reflect on the manifold dilemmas of change and continuity. The general theme is elaborated through five sub-themes. The sub-theme ‘Change and Continuity’ addresses the tensions between change and continuity from a historical-theoretical perspective. ‘Restructuring Cities and Landscapes’ focuses on the larger scale of city and landscape, while ‘Shifts in Programme and Flexibility’ draws attention to the scale of the building or building complex, and questions limits of re-use and flexibility. The fourth sub-theme deals with education and the fifth sub-theme ‘Progress, Technology and Sustainability’ considers specific issues of techniques and materials.
