Tyler's former girlfriend is back, and he's torn between her and Hannah. As he tries to decide which girl he should pursue, he begins to ask himself what attracts him to certain girls and what should attract him. He must choose between a romantic relationship that honors God or doing things his own way.

When his old girlfriend moves back to town, Tyler worries that dating her again will interfere with his friendships, especially with the beautiful Hannah, and draw him away from God.

These essays were written more than twenty-five years ago for different newspapers. They contain thoughts on various subjects prevalent at the time, and were printed as opinion articles. Their relevancy remains so intact today that Jim decided to collect them from various files and republish them as a book. Most were printed in a local newspaper, the News of Delaware County where he had an opinion column, and then reprinted in other papers. As mentioned in the preface, his concerns about the steady erosion of the values and principles he once knew, have continued unabated to this day.
