The Clerk of each town shall receive or obtain and record the following facts concerning the births, marriages and deaths therein. In the record of births, the (late of record, the date of birth place of birth, name, sex and color of child, the names and places of birth of parents, including the maiden name of mother, the occupation of the father, and the residence of the parents.
