This second volume of poetry comes just two years after the first one entitled "Eyes of the Heart." That collection grew over twenty-five years, but this second one came to completion just two years later. The first was a long developing journey in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This second reflects a deepening of insight and in a life lived ever closer to my Lord and Savior. I hope and pray that you have open ears to hear what my God has been saying to me in these verses. May you also develop a closer walk with the One who formed the worlds out of nothing and who now wants us to be pleasing to Him in all we think, speak, hear, and do. Grace and peace.

Eyes to See and Ears to Hear: What Jesus Really Meant is an exploration of all four canonical Gospels as well as other material attributed to Jesus from a Jungian-based perspective. There are many layers of meaning to the sayings of the centerpiece of Christianity that are best elucidated in this manner and in conjunction with quantum physics as well as the other major spiritual systems, both East and West. We are going through a significant shift, or apocalyptic period, as a race, and this book can help the reader to successfully navigate what has been happening and what lies ahead. The material is deep enough to satisfy experts in the field and accessible enough for laypeople to understand. The contemporary renaissance of theological interpretation as an approach to reading the Bible has brought with it a host of questions. Most importantly, what is the relationship between theological interpretation and more traditional forms of historical inquiry characteristic of the field in the modern era? Does theological interpretation require that the church's faith determine the meaning of biblical texts? How does a theological hermeneutic navigate the conventional roles of author, text, and reader? What are the natural intellectual companions of theological interpretation? Essays in this volume tackle questions like these primarily by engaging directly with biblical texts, both in theological interpretation for its own sake and to see what the texts themselves might suggest about doing theological interpretation. The result is a much-needed exploration of theological interpretation in the hands of biblical scholars, theologians, and linguists occupied with exegesis. The volume arises from an international colloquium on the theological interpretation of the Bible held at Laidlaw College in Auckland, New Zealand, in August 2011.
