Symphoria, known as the Orchestra of Central New York, is one of only two musician-governed orchestras in the United States. Founded in 2012, Symphoria was created by the musicians who were disbanded when the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra went bankrupt just as it was celebrating its 50th anniversary.
