This book is a collection of stories that God has given me. Each story was given to me from our Glorious Lord. Since my walk with God began in 2011, God gives me a word for me to research, usually a word that does not apply to my current situation, or a word that I have never used, always leading me to a part of my life where I thought I was alone, God is showing me how He not is with me know, but has always been the footprints in the sand during my life. Thank you Jesus!

Thank God I Was a Country Boy is a praise to the Lord. He set me free. Without Him, I am nothing. I have written these lines to ultimately say I was a normal child. I was capable of being swayed to sin. I was also taught the proper life to live. My family influenced as best they could, but it was their trusting us that became our bond. They had to trust God to watch over us and trust that saying we followed God was really what we desired to do. They wished for us to walk with God daily. I am thankful for the hard times and the trials. This is not a fiery sermon about how you must change. It is a reminder to be thankful for aEURoeFrom whence cometh your help?aEUR (old Bible translation). Thankful for growing up. Thankful for all I had.

The ultimate goal of this book is to bring new awareness to the World Friendship flag and that its logo may become a global icon. Furthermore, this logo will be available to be purchased through Facebook friendship pages, resulting in the raising of funds to be donated to CARE to help feed the worlds hungry children. The story will show the evolution of the ideas of two visionaries, which, coupled with youthful enthusiasm, can have worldwide ramifications in changing the planet toward good. The success of this endeavor will bring lauded attention to Chattooga County, making it a destination to celebrate friendship throughout the world. Hopefully, the themes in this book will attract the communities of art, education, and religion as well as all those who believe in young people and the power of vision.

After retiring as a veterinarian, the author had much more time to spend with others, so he related stories of many of the experiences in his life. He was asked by family, friends, and others with whom he had shared if he had recorded these stories. Ernest never wanted to write his life story, but God revealed to him that he should record his experiences and title the book An Ordinary Man, An Extraordinary God. His procrastination to write ended when he had a back fusion with two rods and ten screws which required him to lay on a bone stimulator for four hours a day for six months; and during that time, he was not able to do any physical work. The book would show how God could take a country boy raised on a farm and use him to bring glory to God. Explaining how God used him could encourage others who also thought they were "nobodies" to realize that God could use any person that believed in God and spent time in His Word to walk in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit. The book begins just before Ernest received Jesus as his Lord and Savior and continues showing how, through His Word, the author received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, learned to walk in the Spirit, witnessed about God to others, prayed the prayer of faith for healing, cast out demons, and did other works of God. His walk with God and how he grew in faith is shared chronologically in the book. Now he could understand the groaning of the spirit within a Christian for the day of redemption when he would enter God's presence and be with Jesus for eternity.
