This book is story of the author, an American raised in Hitler's Germany, where he saw the persecution of Jewish neighbors and experienced the bombing of cities. Vieler tells of his experiences during WWII before repatriating to America and enlisting in the Army during the Korean War.

This book—God, Psychosis and I: A Journey into My Own Mind—is not only a narration, but also a revelation of a woman's Christian beliefs put to test after bouts of depression beginning in early teenage years, that progressed into paranoid schizophrenia in 1997. After she earned her Masters in Psychology, the sophistication and the well-esteemed modern-day psychology fell short of an answer.
