The only experiments described are quantita tive, because it is assumed that purely qualitative ones are demonstrated in the lecture-room. Those experiments which are suited to a definite student or to a definite class must be selected by the instructor; and it is impossible to give any precise statement as to which are best adapted for any particular purpose.
