A Ticket To Zion

A Ticket to Zion is a journey through life by train inspired by John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress and C. S. Lewis's Narnia adventures. Each twist and turn in life is represented as an aspect of a journey by train; the excitement of hearing the first steam train, the joy of being given a free ticket, the horror of seeing so many catch the wrong train, and then finally crossing the valley of the shadow of death. As you read A Ticket to Zion you will be transported into a mysterious world of adventure with Ian, our pilgrim, and his colorful friends who try to help him along the way. You will also be challenged by their enemies who tempt them to give up their precious tickets and leave the train. You will understand how to collect your free ticket, see why life's journey is so hard, and discover where your journey ends. Ian hopes that his journey's end will be a celestial city (Zion), but will he endure to the end? How many of those he meets along the way will complete the journey? How many will end up in the depot or on the wrong train?

Philosophically speaking, Zion is a discovery of spirituality, an aspiration to be free of worldly desires when seeking truth and righteousness and salvation through Jesus Christ. The world can be disappointing. In the light, beyond mortal understanding are signs of true immortality, glimpses of heaven’s dew that appears to be cheated, yet rewarding because Christ is evident through the Word of God and Zion’s faith. She was used and abused by so many, such as her parents, her paramours, her neighbors, her former employer, to even that of the legal system that is supposed to be circumcised within the law. Her rights were violated, and there was nothing she could do but trust God. She is in the law while out of the system as the system appears to be lawless. Zion within solitude is free to understand what her strongholds are. While Christ is within, she submerges from them with the help of her friend Jeremiah. Both have a fetish for Asian culture, philosophical discourse, and a calling only God can sustain. Through Zion’s revelations from beginning to end, such as the falls, the floods, the great escapes, and the promise, are all made into fruition.
