This is one of the simplest books to have been written on Bible prophecy. It is concise, easily read and is to the point with no use of elaborate terms that might confuse the student of prophecy. It takes the prayer of John the Apostle and breaks it down into the questions that might have been upon his mind as he brought the book of Revelation to a close. It spans the broad scope of events that are included in his prayer with commentary on each aspect. Some students of Bible prophecy have difficulty in placing events in their correct dispensations, and thus are confused by what they read. This book helps to alleviate that problem. That being said, it is not the purpose of this book to take the place of Bible study. Students of Bible prophecy should not expect a short-cut to understanding prophetic teaching by reading this book because there is no short-cut to understanding prophecy aside from studying the Bible. May our Lord help you as you read this book in conjunction with His word. And remember, when you think there is a contradiction always rely upon Scripture. The year was about A.D. 95 when the Roman emperor Domitian banished an aged man into exile on Patmos, a rocky and barren island off the coast of Asia Minor, or modern Turkey. The aged man was the Apostle John, the beloved disciple of Jesus. John was probably in his nineties when he was sent to Patmos, and the time spent there proved to be the most important of his life. During that time spent on Patmos Jesus Christ revealed to John an absolutely incredible scenario having to do with a very specific time in the future; a time of unbelievable events and unprecedented trouble. And, by the way, a time that is immediate to our own future. The Book of Revelation is not the entire account of God's future dealings with the world, but it is no doubt the most intriguing. It is mostly about a period of seven years known commonly as the Tribulation Period, or the 70th Week of Daniel chapter nine. Basically, Jesus gave John, and us, a snapshot of the horror that will come upon this Christ-rejecting world once the church is taken out at the event we call The Rapture. But, not only did Jesus reveal the horrors of the tribulation, but He also informed us that the Messianic Age the Jews have been looking forward to for several millennia is to last one thousand years. Though the Messianic dispensation is well described in the Old Testament, this is the first time we have an actual time period associated with it. This unprecedented revelation of Jesus Christ must have caused John to wonder in amazement about all the glorious things that were coming at some point in the future. After he completed the book as Jesus had dictated it, John penned his closing remarks in what seems to be an attempt to put into writing an emotion, a visceral feeling that was nearly overwhelming his heart. Jesus ended His book with the words, "yes, I am coming quickly." And, it is almost as if a crescendo of emotion came forth from the very well-spring of John's being as he responded, "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20).

‘The second coming of Jesus Christ is the core of the biblical worldview, the climax of the biblical message, the cornerstone of biblical theology, and the centrepiece of authentic biblical faith for the twenty-first century.’ At the heart of this bold opening statement by Stephen Motyer is the conviction that Jesus Christ is the ‘centre’ of the Scriptures, even though he only appears at the end. For the New Testament writers, Jesus Christ revolutionized their understanding of the Scriptures and gave them a new centre around which to interpret the work of God in the world – and the climax of that work is the ‘second coming’ of that same Jesus Christ. Jesus himself used the language of the Scriptures to promise his ‘coming again’, the ‘coming of the Son of Man’. Hence we need the whole of Scripture to understand what the second coming means for us today. The fact that the Bible ends with the prayer ‘Come, Lord Jesus!’ (Revelation 22:20) is deeply appropriate. The second coming is the ‘end’ of the biblical message, its ‘omega point’, its grand finale, the denouement when all the players in the drama of earth history, both human and angelic, are gathered in the drawing room to hear the Master unpack the plot and give the verdict. Motyer’s comprehensive, stimulating study is divided into two parts. Part One, ‘The biblical frame’, examines three Old Testament passages and lays the foundation for Part Two, ‘New Testament hopes and visions’, which explores a series of key texts. He focuses on the second coming, rather than on millennialism or the ‘end times’, in order to provide the fundamental biblical theology that must underlie our whole sense of God’s future for his world.

New Edition with Discussion Questions and a Critique of the Rapture How can Christians today understand the book of Revelation and its meaning and implications for our lives? Mark Braaten, a pastor and scholar who has spent years studying and teaching Revelation, answers the many questions that arise when modern readers enter this ancient text. Originally written in response to his dad's request to have a good introductory text, this book avoids complicated theological jargon and popularized misapplications of the book of Revelation and leads readers to join the holy choir in singing, "Come, Lord Jesus." This new edition adds: An essay that argues why the concept of a rapture is an egregious misreading of Revelation. A short study guide with discussion questions for each chapter.

Hray-Mah is the Spoken Word of the Creator sent to man upon the Earth. A companion guide to understanding your Bible. In the End Times the Lord said knowledge would be increased and all would be made known. The End Times are upon us! The "WORD" of God first comes from hearing. When one first hears they start ponderings within. The Bible is for the FAITHFUL who have asked Jesus into their life as Savoir. Without Jesus one has no faith, no Comforter and there by no way to comprehend or share correctly the BIBLE. Without FAITH anything that comes out and talked about the WORD by the unfaithful is incorrect. Faith is the Master's Key! As Christians today we face so many denominations and named churches each sharing the Good News from the pulpits: We as individuals have forgotten that we each are called to learn for ourselves with the Comforter who is the Teacher of the Word of God that God shared through writers inspired by the Spirit to write the scriptures and stories we accept as inspired as the Bible. And, in every single Bible the Precept and Concept brought forth by the Indwelling Spirit (The Teacher of All Things) to every writer and contributor to the Holy Word is always intact. No translation can change the Concept and the Precept as it was granted by the Father through the Spirit and revealed by the Son of God, whom is Jesus Christ. Jesus opened the simple pathway to know the Father. I am amazed when so many know the Lord's Prayer Jesus gave us all to pray: And yet, so few have ever read or heard of the special prayers Jesus gave ONLY to those following him. Nonetheless, these prayers are in the New Testament in every translation in the world. And, they are not spoken of from the pulpits? Why? Go read for yourself and then enter your prayer chamber with the Creator and ask what you were simply missing and why? These are the end days spoken of by the Lord. Trumpets are sounding. Behold! Jesus Christ is Coming! Amen and Amen

Can you detect it? Something is changing. Humanity seems restless and wanting. It is hard to find contentment, and our compassion for others is dulled as we strive to carry on and to take care of our own. Loneliness is spreading like a disease, and so much of the population feels an unquenchable emptiness. Perhaps it’s time to recognize the quiet voice speaking to us and warning us of an approaching finale that must be acknowledged. Before Jesus left, He spoke with the disciples regarding His return. He warned them to remain expectant and vigilant. His message applies to each of us personally today. It is a message of hope and purpose. It is a message that seems, more than ever before, relevant to us today. Return takes us on an awe-inspiring journey requiring that we consider the kingdom of God and our place in time as we contemplate the events leading to the return of Christ. John quotes Jesus in Revelation 22:20, “Yes, I am coming soon.” And then John adds his own prayer, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” Let us also add our own prayer request to John’s. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Late in the fourteenth century, Thomas à Kempis joined a powerful spiritual movement sweeping Europe that was known as "The Brothers of the Common Life." While plagues devastated the population and turmoil tore apart the Church, the Holy Spirit moved across the continent among everyday people, bringing thousands together in small communities to recreate the communal life of the early believers. In this setting, Thomas lived a life of deep prayer, devotion, and service to God.It was the passion of his writing that galvanized the dramatic reform movement, all but saving the spiritual fire of Christianity in his own time. After the Bible, The Imitation of Christ is said to be the most widely read spiritual book of the world. It has helped countless believers to experience the living Spirit of Jesus Christ...like a living flame in the soul's depths.David Hazard has arranged the words and thoughts of Thomas à Kempis into a forty-day devotional to help you meet Jesus in the quiet sanctuary of your soul...and carry Him into the traffic and noise and challenge of today's world...with you and in you...so the world may hear the voice and know the graceful beauty of the living Lord.
