This collection of review articles begins with two autobiographies, one from a leader in environmental research and one from a leader in energy research. There is an emphasis on work in developing countries, with several papers on the developing world in general, two on China, and one on India. Specific topics include long-term energy forecasts for the US, the use and misuse of numerical facts in analysis and media reporting of energy issues, carbonate chemistry for sequestering fossil carbon, indoor air pollution and health in developing countries, renewable energy markets in developing countries, and the evolution of the Indian nuclear power program.
