ALSO, BECAUSE OF THE CRITICAL ROLE THAT FIRE PLAYS IN THE AREA OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE, ANYONE WHO DESIRES ACCESS TO SUPERNATURAL POWER MUST HAVE A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF FIRE AND ITS SYMBOLISM, AND BE SPIRITUALLY BAPTIZED BY FIRE. BAPTISM BY GODLY FIRE ENDOWS CHILDREN OF GOD WITH SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY AND ENABLES THEM TO DO EXPLOITS FOR HIM. SO, THIS BAPTISM BY FIRE IS A PRIVILEGE AND GREAT BLESSING TO THE BODY OF CHRIST. Answer By Fire begins approximately fifteen years into the future and Miguel Longfire, an admired European politician, is assassinated. He is a perfect specimen for the new techno-neurological procedure known as Critical Biogenetronics Reclamation. The procedure has been performed on other specially selected candidates, but without success. LongFire is the first one on whom the operation took hold. His revival, and acquired brilliance, astonishes the watching world. Daniel Samson, a successful middle-aged editor at the Universal Times, loses his family along with a baffling mass disappearance of people. The remaining world population, including Daniel and many of his colleagues at the Times, is horrified. Daniel is determined to unravel the mystery, which has become known as The Event, as well as find his family: Betty Ann, Todd and Barbie. For many years Betty Ann had warned Daniel of this very time: the time the Scriptures call The Time of Jacobs Trouble. In his desperation, Daniel finds a message in Betty Anns Biblesomething he has never readand it gives him the direction he needs. Daniel and Adamm Oakes, colleagues at the Universal Times news machine, draw swords in the third chapter and never put them down. Adamms father, a small town preacher, has taken his own life and Adamm believes Daniel is responsible. Miguel Longfire (the new president) acquires the manysided Universal Times, now the most dominant news machine in existence, and promotes Adamm to manage the entire operation. As a result, Daniel is driven from his comfortable Pennsylvania lifestyle. He is forced across the entire country to the back streets of Los Angeles where he survives in exile with other refugees. In this three-dimensional story, the never-changing world of prophecy collides with the ever-changing world of advanced technology. Daniel and Adamm struggle in and out of both worlds stealthily and perilously. Adamm now has access to an array of high tech devices. He uses Madboy, a laser firing satellite, to lionize Miguel Longfire and pursue Daniel, with the intention of bringing him to an endrevenge for his fathers death. Daniel and his renegade group, struggle to escape the high tech threats of Adamm Oaks and his team of technicians. They work their way through the back streets of Los Angeles, surviving on whatever they can acquire from supermarket dump bins and from the fallen fruit of trees. Periodically, Biblical characters make brief appearances to alert Daniel and his group that the Lord is coming on a white horse with white-robed soldiers to reclaim the world. Daniel clings to this hope. Finally, Adamm and his technical team catch up with Daniel and his refugees in the concrete-walled LA River and bring him to an end. But in a mystical exchange Adamm loses his own life. In an ultra-dimensional showdown, Miguel Longfire persuades the worlds remaining armies to join forces with him and prevent the Lord from returning. But the Lord does return, and as he promised, he reclaims the world.

"The 2019 Carroll Ellis Symposium, "America's Greatest Revival: Cane Ridge Reconsidered," was held August 13, 2019 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee, hosted by Scott Sager of the Office of Church Services at Lipscomb University. The event coincided with the 218th anniversary week of the great Cane Ridge meeting led by Barton W. Stone from August 6th to 12th, 1801 in Bourbon County, Kentucky, at the meeting house of the Presbyterian congregation he served at Cane Ridge. Answered in Fire preserves the authors' presentations from that day for wider distribution and it provides something not available in the oral presentations: documentation of sources used by the presenters, including scattered eye-witness accounts of Cane Ridge and other revivals, as well as scholarly interpretations. It offers readers in one volume bibliographic pointers toward the literature about the revival's events, context, and impact. Through the narrative, analysis, and reflection takes a deeper look at a seminal event of the Second Great Awakening in America and ponders its meaning for its heirs today. The Cane Ridge revival can be considered the remarkable beginning of a reform movement in American Protestantism that under the initial leadership of Stone, Thomas and Alexander Campbell, and Walter Scott grew rapidly in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Cane Ridge meeting attracted thousands of participants and observers from a wide variety of Christian groups in the region. Despite their differences, participants joined in fasting, prayer, singing, and preaching to seek repentance and renewal, compelled by a unifying sense of divine presence and awed by manifestations of the power of the Spirit of God. Yet, for the most part, the experiential narratives of this and similar revivals during the Second Great Awakening in America have not persisted in Churches of Christ, which have for nearly two centuries emphasized cognitive apprehension of the biblical message, conformity to scriptural examples in matters of church life, and obedience to the ethical demands of the New Testament"--

Getting promoted in the fire service is not an easy process. Many people have that desire to promote, but for whatever reason cannot put the pieces together to make it a reality. Over the 20 plus years I have been in the fire service, I have had the opportunity to be on both sides of the promotional process - as a candidate, and as a rater and proctor. This book will assist fire department personnel specifically prepare for their next promotional exam. Promotional candidates will be exposed to and offered key points for the most common tasks and events within a fire department promotional process including, but not limited to: promotional preparation, completing the application, resume preparation, the written exam, the oral interview, the personnel problem, the oral presentation, and the emergency simulation.
