The evaluation recommended that it is important for UNDP Guyana to continue to reorient its programming towards higher-level policy analysis in order to support the country's transition to a middle-income status. Also, UNDP needs to focus on its comparative advantage, and help Guyana explore alternative sources of support through South-South, regional and public-private partnerships.

The ADR in Seychelles examines the relevance and strategic positioning of UNDP support and contributions to the country’s development from 2003 to 2009. It assesses UNDP interventions under the various thematic areas of the country programme with the aim of providing forward-looking recommendations meant to assist the UNDP country office and its partners in the formulation of the forthcoming country programme. The evaluation found that the UNDP support has generally been well aligned to national policies and plans and has responded to priorities and needs in the environment and governance sectors. UNDP has been successful in mobilizing large amounts of funding to national environmental priority issues. This creates a real possibility of protecting the country’s critical natural resources base.

This report presents an independent evaluation managed by the Evaluation Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jamaica in 2010. It assesses UNDP’s overall contribution to the development of the country over the most recent programming cycles, as well as the strategy and performance of UNDP-Jamaica during the last programme cycles and their action plans.

This is the first ADR conducted in Djibouti, and it focuses on UNDP contributions to development results in the country during UNDP-Djibouti’s two most recent programming cycles – 2003-2007 and 2008-2012. The objectives of this ADR are: (i) to identify progress made towards the antici¬pated development results of the past two UNDP programming cycles; (ii) to analyse how UNDP in Djibouti has been positioned to add value to the country’s efforts to promote its development; (iii) to present conclusions and lessons learned with a view to the organization’s future positioning in Djibouti. The findings and recommendations of the ADR will inform the new Djibouti Country Programme Document for the upcoming pro¬gramming cycle of 2013-2017, for which UNDP-Djibouti has begun preparation.

The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) conducts country evaluations called “Assessments of Development Results (ADRs)” to capture and demonstrate evaluative evidence of UNDP’s contributions to development results at the country level. UNDP has been present in Cameroon since 10 September 1972. Since 2008, UNDP has implemented interventions in two programme cycles, 2008-2012 and 2013-2017. UNDP Cameroon has been selected for an ADR since its country programme will end in 2017. The ADR will be conducted in 2016 to feed into the development of the new country programme.

This evaluation examined the relevance and strategic positioning pf UNDP support and its contributions to the country's development from 2001-2010. It assessed UNDP Indonesia's interventions under the five thematic areas of the country programmes, with an intention to provide forward-looking recommendations that are useful for the formulation of the new UNDP country programme in Indonesia.

This report states that UNDP Zambia has in general been effective in its contributions to development in Zambia. However, programme resources were spread too thinly across many initiatives and insufficient attention was given to ensuring sustainability. While cooperating partners and non-governmental organizations would have preferred UNDP to play a stronger role in advocacy, the Government appreciates UNDP as a consistent partner. The evaluation suggests that, within the context of the United Nations country team, UNDP missed opportunities to develop more joint initiatives.
