Is your birthday between two different signs? Discover new insights into yourself and others with this first-ever guide to cusp astrology. We've all heard the term "born on the cusp"—but what does it mean, exactly? What if you were born just as the sun moves into Aries, but you feel more like a Pisces? If your birthday falls on a date when a sign changes over to another, you probably possess traits of each. Engaging and easy to use, this book goes beyond simple, cut-and-dried archetypes of sun sign astrology, yet doesn't require any special knowledge. You'll get a deeper understanding of your personality and motivations—and those of your partner, friends, family members, and anyone else whose birthday is on the edge of two signs. Organized by date of birth, this astrology book lets you quickly look up your birthday so you can identify your particular strengths, gifts, and challenges. You'll also find out about your career and upcoming opportunities, times of the year when you can expect obstacles and rewards, and which signs are your best matches for love and romance. Helping to illuminate each cusp birthday's characteristics are examples of well-known figures such as Robert Redford and Meryl Streep.

Everyone has at least a little bit of interest in astrology. Whether your style is just reading your horoscope in the newspaper, or you've seen an astrologist to have your stars charted, Influence of the Zodiac Upon Human Life, With Character Readings of Persons Born Under the Cusp will definitely fascinate you. Influence of the Zodiac Upon Human Life, With Character Readings of Persons Born Under the Cusp was an influential book during the early stages of the New Thought movement, which taught Western audiences about Eastern mystical practices. Author Eleanor Kirk embraces what she calls the Occult Laws, which contain the essential wisdom of ancient spiritual leaders. Influence of the Zodiac Upon Human Life, With Character Readings of Persons Born Under the Cusp breaks down the twelve astrological signs, listing the traits, strengths and weaknesses of people born under each sign. Kirk advises the reader about what their signs mean, including the impact on marriages, childrearing and career. For example, she states fire signs and water signs should never marry, because water puts out fire but fire cannot touch water. After detailing the personality characteristics, Kirk gives tips she calls "mode of growth," which explain how the person can best honor their Zodiac traits. Pisceans, for instance, are said to be peculiar, loving and obstinate, and prone to fits of anxiety and pessimism. Kirk prescribes a quiet room dedicated to meditating on the mantra "I can, I will," to calm and center the fish sign. By emphasizing that a person's astrological sign is an influence, not a fate, Kirk informs people that they can control their own destinies. Kirk's writing style is concise, but never dry. One of the book's strengths is its sense of urgency. Kirk describes the purpose of learning astrological truths with the conviction of a person who believes the fate of the world depends upon it. Kirk beseeches readers to open their minds to new lines of thought, reminding them that"[H]e who has eyes to see can read between the lines." Influence of the Zodiac Upon Human Life, With Character Readings of Persons Born Under the Cusp is an excellent summary of the personal traits and influence of the heavens. All readers will find the prose compelling and the subject matter intriguing. It is a good book for those who are just starting to investigate astrology or for those who are experienced and seeking a refresher course. This compilation of house cusps is an authoritative reference for the accurate division of the zodiac into twelve houses. Designed to meet the most demanding needs of astrologers and those doing astrological research, the tables cover the range of latitudes from 0 to 66 degrees and list all cusps to one-tenth of a minute of arc. The tables list the cusps at even four minute intervals of sidereal time, making linear interpolation practical and straightforward. There are 360 separate tables of house cusps with each showing the house cusps for latitudes 0 to 66 degrees at a single value of sidereal time. At the top of each table the sidereal time is printed in hours, minutes, and seconds on the left, and in degrees, minutes, and seconds on the right. Since the Midheaven remains the same for all latitudes, it is printed once at the top of the page, and because of its importance is listed to a precision of one second of arc The general rule for finding southern latitude cusps is to add twelve hours to the sidereal time, look up the cusps as if the latitude were north, and then reverse the zodiacal sign of all the cusps found. This process is made easier in this volume through the use of separate headings for southern latitudes at the bottom of each table. Instead of adding twelve hours to the sidereal time, use the sidereal time headings at the bottom of the page when locating the proper table. This gives the same table that would be found by adding the twelve hours and using the northern latitude headings. It is usually necessary to interpolate to find cusps for an exact time or latitude that falls between two listings in the tables. Interpolation is the process of finding a small correction to be added or subtracted from a cusp in the tables to compensate for the difference between the value of the cusp at the listed sidereal time or latitude and the value of the cusp at the actual sidereal time or latitude. Generally speaking, interpolation must be done twice for each cusp: a correction for the sidereal time and another for the latitude. The Midheaven need only be corrected for sidereal time since it remains the same at all latitudes. It is no surprise that the difficulty of interpolation depends upon the accuracy required. Included in this book are explicit instructions for three techniques for finding the house cusps, each of which gives successively more accurate results. All tables needed for all three techniques are included in the book.
