Automated Deduction Cade 11

"This volume contains the papers presented at the Eleventh International Conference on Automated Deduction (CADE-11) held in Saratoga Springs, NY, inJune 1992. A total of 136 papers were submitted for presentation by researchers from nearly 20 countries. Papers covered many topics including: resolution; term rewriting; natural deduction; theorem proving, in particular in algebra and geometry; parallel theoremprovers; unification theory; constraint solving; logic programing; verification; multivalued, temporal and nonclassical logics; non-monotonic reasoning; planning; proof theory; higher-order logics; and inductive theorem proving. Each submission was reviewed by at least three program committee members and 46 papers were selected for presentation and publication. This volume also contains short descriptions of 23 implementations of automated deduction systems. This volume contains the reviewed papers presented at the 12th International Conference on Automated Deduction (CADE-12) held at Nancy, France in June/July 1994. The 67 papers presented were selected from 177 submissions and document many of the most important research results in automated deduction since CADE-11 was held in June 1992. The volume is organized in chapters on heuristics, resolution systems, induction, controlling resolutions, ATP problems, unification, LP applications, special-purpose provers, rewrite rule termination, ATP efficiency, AC unification, higher-order theorem proving, natural systems, problem sets, and system descriptions.

This book constitutes the proceeding of the 26th International Conference on Automated Deduction, CADE-26, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, in August 2017. The 26 full papers and 5 system descriptions presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 69 submissions. CADE is the major forum for the presentation of research in all aspects of automated deduction, including foundations, applications, implementations and practical experience. The chapter 'Certifying Confluence of Quasi-Decreasing Strongly Deterministic Conditional Term Rewrite Systems' is published open access under a CC BY 4.0 license.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Automated Deduction, CADE-13, held in July/August 1996 in New Brunswick, NJ, USA, as part of FLoC '96. The volume presents 46 revised regular papers selected from a total of 114 submissions in this category; also included are 15 selected system descriptions and abstracts of two invited talks. The CADE conferences are the major forum for the presentation of new results in all aspects of automated deduction. Therefore, the volume is a timely report on the state-of-the-art in the area.

This book constitutes the strictly refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Automated Deduction, CADE-14, held in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia, in July 1997. The volume presents 25 revised full papers selected from a total of 87 submissions; also included are 17 system descriptions and two invited contributions. The papers cover a wide range of current issues in the area including resolution, term rewriting, unification theory, induction, high-order logics, nonstandard logics, AI methods, and applications to software verification, geometry, and social science.

The refereed proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Automated Deduction, CADE 2003, held in Miami Beach, FL, USA in July 2003. The 29 revised full papers and 7 system description papers presented together with an invited paper and 3 abstracts of invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 83 submissions. All current aspects of automated deduction are discussed, ranging from theoretical and methodological issues to the presentation of new theorem provers and systems.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Automated Deduction, CADE-15, held in Lindau, Germany, in July 1998. The volume presents three invited contributions together with 25 revised full papers and 10 revised system descriptions; these were selected from a total of 120 submissions. The papers address all current issues in automated deduction and theorem proving based on resolution, superposition, model generation and elimination, or connection tableau calculus, in first-order, higher-order, intuitionistic, or modal logics, and describe applications to geometry, computer algebra, or reactive systems.
