Baptism Unto Remembrance

Did you know the Old Testament animal sacrifices were utterly unable to atone for our sins? YAHUSHUA's death would have been entirely unnecessary if they could do so. ELOHIM provided instructions to the Israelites in the book of Leviticus on how they were to offer sacrifices for their sins. Blood needed to be spilled in order for the sacrifices to be accomplished. In the Tanakh (Old Testament) it was done with animals; in the Brit Hadasha (New Testament) it was YAHUSHUA Ha Mashiach that was the ultimate sacrifice. ELOHIM wants us to realize that sin costs something; it cost the life of His Son. In the book of Leviticus chapter 16, it talks about the Day of Atonement and it tells us how a sacrifice is needed for sins. If we look at Leviticus 17:11; it reads, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Thousands of animals were being sacrificed, and it seem to have little or no effect in their behavior. ELOHIM was allowing the animal’s life to be a substitute; it is symbolically dying in our place and the biblical word for this is atonement.The ritual was to make things right between Israel and YAHUAH, and more than that, the Israelites experienced YAHUAH’s love and grace through these sacrifices; that was the ideal, but it was not always happening. Isaiah, for example talks a lot about this; he says that the continual sacrifices of the Israelites had become meaningless, because they were also allowing great evil in their midst ignoring the poor, and the oppressed. In Isaiah 1:13 YAHUAH tells us, “Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.” Isaiah told of a day when a king from the line of David would come and deal with evil. This king would become a servant; not only serving but also suffering and dying for the evil committed by the Israelites. His life would be offered as a sacrifice. YAHUSHUA used Isaiah’s words when He said in Matthew 20:28, “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” The word “ransom” refers to His sacrifice of atonement. YAHUSHUA is the perfect sacrifice; it stopped the practice of animal sacrifices and they were given new rituals one of which was called, baptism. When we hear the word "Baptism," we first think about water; many religions use it as a sign of faith. Did you realize that the word "Baptism" means more than water? Matthew 3:11 tells us, “11…and He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire!” Here there are two additional baptisms that the Scriptures describe; although there are two more baptisms, if you receive one, it is inevitable; you will receive the other. In this book, we will prove that if you are baptized with the (Ruach Ha’Kodesh) Holy Ghost, you will be baptized with fire somewhere along the line. YAHUSHUA was baptized in water, and immediately he went into the wilderness for his Baptism of Fire led by the Ruach Ha’kodesh. YAHUAH does not create the fire; He led Him into the desert, into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil. Look at this, the Greek meaning of “baptism;” means “whelmed.” This is where we get the word "overwhelmed," but it also means to submerge. Baptism of Fire is a submerging, where we are taken into a testing; we are taken into a trial; we are taken deep into it. It is above us; and all around us; when we are baptized, we are taken down; we are in the test of our lives. If we do not understand it, we will think something strange has happened when it comes. It is not strange at all; it is a biblical pattern. You see it with Paul, the Apostle; when he was Saul, he was miraculously saved; he confesses the name of YAHUSHUA and goes into his trial of fire with the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. While in our “Baptism of Fire,” Ha’Shatan will try to flood our minds with questions. “How can a Spirit-filled believer, given to YAHUAH; how can YAHUAH let me go through this pain?” When the enemy comes, and he makes you start to question why, remember that YAHUSHUA is the Baptizer; He is the one who has baptized you with the Ruach Ha’kodesh, and He has baptized you with the fire. Knowing that it is coming from His hand: rest. YAHUAH baptizes His most precious with fire: He takes them through and down into fiery trials to make them strong: these are the best of the best. We are tried through the fire; understand YAHUAH's loving hand. Does it not read in Philippians 1:29, “1 For unto you it is given in the behalf of the Messiah, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake." Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin; he tells us that in the book of Romans 11:1 reads, "I say then, Hath YAHUAH cast away his people? ELOHIM forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." Reread Romans 9:3; the reader can see that Paul tells you it is according to the flesh. There is no Spiritual Israel; again, this is a bloodline.

Do you know what Shemini Atzeret is all about? Some call it the Eighth Great Day.It comes on the heels of Sukkot; Sukkot in the scriptures is seven days plus one additional day; the Eighth Great Day or Shemini Atzeret and it has great prophetic significance. It is a Sabbath day; a solemn rest and it symbolizes eternal life or new beginnings. It is the "Eighth Day" on ELOHIM prophetic timeline. What does that mean? We know ELOHIM has a prophetic timeline until His Son, YAHUSHUA returns for His second coming and Millennial reign. According to 2nd Peter 3:8, it states; "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." In the days of creation, YAHUAH works for six days and rested on the seventh; that tells us that the earth will work for six days or 6000 years, and it will rest on the seventh day or 7000 years when the Messiah returns for His Millennial Kingdom; after the 7000 years, comes the "eighth day" or the 8000th year eternal life, the eternal Kingdom. Shemini Atzeret is mentioned twice, once in Leviticus 23, where ELOHIM outlines the different Feast Days, and also in Numbers 29, where it tells us on the "Eighth day," we shall have a sacred assembly.
