In this book, I will present a memoir of the continuation of a Minnesota Bigfoot researcher's 30-year journey since the publication of my last books, as well as my thoughts and observations on other aspects of the whole Bigfoot field. There is a chapter on the Minnesota Iceman case, which actually has only a tenuous connection to the state but which I felt it my responsibility to investigate, and also one on the famous California Patterson-Gimlin film which I am fascinated with and have delved into because of my deep interest in Bigfoot photos and films even though I am an outsider. I hope you, the reader, will both enjoy this account and be able to learn something.

I have been a Bigfoot researcher in the state of Minnesota for over 30 years, dedicated to the pursuit of a giant hairy upright walking manlike or apelike creature that keeps being encountered by scores of people year after year but has even more people scoffing and insisting that it can not and does not exist. What a surprise it was near the end of 2019 to find that there was a place in Minnesota a three hours' drive from my home in the city of Moorhead (sister city to Fargo, North Dakota) where there was reported to be a consistent and perhaps even permanent Bigfoot presence within a few square miles of private property. Hands down, it quickly became the single most intense Bigfoot case I have ever investigated. This is the story of my first-hand experiences, interviews with witnesses, and subsequent research that would follow from these encounters.

On every continent and in every nation, animals unrecognized by modern science are reported on a daily basis. People passionately pursue these creatures--the name given to their field of study is cryptozoology. Coined in the 1950s, the term literally means the science of hidden animals. Other entries cover 742 places where unnamed cryptids are said to appear; profiles of 77 groups and 112 individuals who have contributed to the field; descriptions of objects and events important to the subject; and essays on cryptotourism and hoaxes, for example. Appendices offer a timeline of zoological discoveries, annotated lists of movies and television series with cryptozoological themes, a list of crypto-fiction titles and a list of Internet websites devoted to cryptozoology.

There is a problem in the scientific community. They are more than happy to debate those who believe the Earth is flat. Yet, when one brings up Sasquatch, they quickly ignore the subject and shun anyone in the scientific community who does look into the evidence. The Sasquatch paradox shows that the scientific community does not live up to its ideal. We should not be surprised at this fact as this has been the case since the scientific revolution. And so the question remains, and the scientists still haven't provided an adequate answer to this one fundamental question. What is leaving ape footprints in the woods of North America?
