Calculus Set Free: Infinitesimals to the Rescue is a single-variable calculus textbook that incorporates the use of infinitesimal methods. This calculus textbook (volume 2, fall 2018 preliminary edition) is being tested at Union University.Calculus Set Free: Infinitesimals to the Rescue uses infinitesimals to simplify the calculation of limits anywhere they occur, including the development of the derivative and the definite integral, through the use of new definitions, notation, and procedures developed by the author. The author's approach to the definite integral used in this volume is introduced in the article "A New Approach to the Riemann Integral," The American Mathematical Monthly 125:2 (February 2018), pp. 130-140.

Introducing calculus at the basic level, this text covers hyperreal numbers and hyperreal line, continuous functions, integral and differential calculus, fundamental theorem, infinite sequences and series, infinite polynomials, topology of the real line, and standard calculus and sequences of functions. Only high school mathematics needed. 1979 edition.
