A school Spanish course for beginners, Caminos Segunda Edicion has been fully revised and updated to cover the QCA Scheme of Work for Spanish. It is fully differentiated with activities at two levels of difficulty and additional material on differentiated worksheets provides practice in all four skills at two levels of ability. Additions to the second edition include a stronger focus on grammar, improved and extended ICT offerings and regular and rigorous assessment. The course has been improved to include comments from users, giving teachers the confidence that their students are provided with all the necessary support. Reinforces language learnt by revisiting and revising selected core language from Caminos 1. Teaches grammar in a systematic way, identifying patterns clearly and providing plenty of practice. The increasingly wide spread of attainment in the second year of language learning is covered by differentiation materials offering activities at two levels. Develops language learning skills with activities such as dictionary and pronunciation work.

Caminos 3 offers students complete preparation for GCSE/Standard Grade through full coverage of all five Areas of Experience, Grades A*-G. Mixed abilities are catered for in one carefully structured Student's Book by the use of symbols to indicate differentiated activities. Student motivation is encouraged through the use of material appropriate for the 14-16 year age group in both content and style. Full support for the teacher is provided through detailed notes, National Curriculum cross referencing, tapescripts and answers as well as general teaching advice. Student's Book and worksheet activities are supported by 7 cassettes of audio material.

The Caminos Spanish course places emphasis on cultural awareness of Spain and Spanish-speaking countries, providing pupils with an informed insight into the lives and concerns of their peers overseas. The communicative approach of the series means that pupils are encouraged from the start to express themselves, their feelings and opinions in the target language, acquiring all the language skills they need for effective communication.

Guidebook to the Camino Inglés and Ruta do Mar camino routes through north-west Spain to Santiago de Compostela. The 116km Camino Inglés begins in Ferrol in Galicia and takes around a week to complete. It offers reliable waymarking, pilgrim facilities, and the opportunity to earn the Compostela certificate on completion. An alternative start in A Coruña gives a walk of 73km. The Ruta do Mar from Ribadeo provides a 190km coastal link between the Camino del Norte and the Camino Inglés. A newly recovered camino, its pilgrim infrastructure and waymarking is less well developed, but for those seeking solitude it offers striking scenery along a wild coastline. The book also includes an overview of a continuation route from Santiago to 'the end of the world' at Finisterre on the Atlantic coast. The guidebook presents the route in stages of a day's walking.
