CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MOVIE is a new feature-length animated film of Dickens' classic Christmas tale, due for nationwide cinematic release in November 2001. The film is made by the same team who produced THE SNOWMAN, and stars voices by top names such as Kate Winslet, Simon Callow, Michael Gambon, Nicholas Cage and Jane Horrocks. There will also be a single release in October, written by Steve Mac (songwriter for Westlife and Take That with 10 no.1s to his name) and sung by Charlotte Church. This is a top-quality production, with images by some of the best animated artists working today.The "Ladybird" book of the film will be a small format edition written by Narinder Dhami following the script for the film. The book has images and scenes from the film throughout.
