Christmas Eve Eve

This is a whimsical poem, in the style of Dr. Seuss, to make the Christmas season more enjoyable.

This sweet barnyard Christmas counting story makes the perfect gift! In the barn on Christmas Eve, After all the people leave, The animals, in voices low, Remember Christmas long ago . . . So begins a sweet rhyming story in which a group of animals recounts the events surrounding Jesus' birth in the manger, and the parts some of their ancestors played in it.

In a deeply moving story with the hallmarks of a classic, a homeless boy’s rescue of a spindly Christmas tree sparks a glimmer of hope that has far-reaching effects. It’s late on Christmas Eve, and the little fir tree is the only tree left in the shop. What a poor thing I am, it thinks. But then a young boy enters the store, drawn in from the damp by the warmth and lights and the wonderful smell of Christmas, and he doesn’t seem to mind that the scrawny tree isn’t tall and straight like the others. . . . This magical story, beautifully illustrated by Emily Sutton, captures an unexpected and unforgettable moment of happiness that brings a whole city together.

This is a collection of ten original Christmas stories, some of which have been published before. The author has also added a little essay, written on the occasion of the first Christmas celebrated by the King of Italy in Rome. Titles featured include 'Daily Bread', 'Love is the Whole', and 'The Survivor's Story'.

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.
