Presents the Clean Coal Technology Demonstration Program (CCT), & accomplishments, & the Power Plant Initiative (PPII) program as well. PPII was established to further improve the efficiency, reliability, & environmental performance of coal-based power generation. The DoE is applying the basic principles of the CCT Program to PPII, including forging the cost-shared industry/gov't. partnerships needed to effectively demonstrate promising new clean coal technologies & bring them into the marketplace.
