This book reviews the policies and actions taken by Chinese Government, international organizations and NGOs in the past two decades, and aims to reflect and share the experiences and lessons regarding the promotion of girls' education, gender equality in media, and sexuality health education and services for youth with the international community.China's experience in the field of women and girls' education and development has not been adequately summarized and shared. This book takes a close look at how girls of color think, talk, and learn about sex and sexual ethics, how they navigate their developing sexuality through cultural stereotypes about sex and body image, and how they negotiate their sexual learning within a co-ed sex education classroom.
