From Sea To Shore Meeting The Challenges Of The Sea

The ICE Coasts, Maritime Structures and Breakwaters conference series, sponsored by the ICE for over thirty years, is the leading international forum for the presentation of the latest developments in coastal and maritime structures. The tenth conference was the largest in the history of the series attracting over 450 delegates and 130 papers across 3 plenary and 27 parallel sessions. In addition to the papers presented, these proceedings retain the tradition of including full discussions from each session.

Whilst retaining the historical coverage on shoreline structures, coastal processes, and design and construction of breakwaters and related structures, this book extends the marine energy theme; with emphasis on aspects at the civil and coastal engineering interface, such as fluid loadings, resource modelling, interactions with the environment.

This book composes the proceedings of the international Conference on Geo-Spatial Technologies and Earth Resources (GTER 2022) which was co-organized by Hanoi University of Mining and Geology and the International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM) held at Hanoi city on October 13–14, 2022. GTER 2022 is technically co-sponsored by Vietnam Mining Science and Technology Association (VMST), Vietnam Association of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing (VGCR), Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (VINACOMIN), and the Dong Bac Corporation (NECO). GTER 2022 aims to bring together experts, researchers, engineers, and policymakers to discuss and exchange their knowledge and experiences in recent advances research water resources and environmental systems.

This book will serve as a reference guide, and state-of-the-art review, for the wide spectrum of numerical models and computational techniques available to solve some of the most challenging problems in coastal engineering. The topics covered in this book, are explained fundamentally from a numerical perspective and also include practical examples applications.
