Fruition serves as a platform for showcasing the artists associated with Culture Power 45, the title lends itself to the experience of the collective as each song is a piece of the whole which manifested the project. Artists working together professionally, creatively, and financially to bear fruit is what Fruition is all about. The Fruition intro is a snippet of an actual phone conference held monthly and sets the listener up for a journey via precise lyrics and tight beats. Take for instance the Tall Black Guy produced News Flash Pt. 2 from 80's Babies with Dee Jackson featuring Chicago mainstay Thaione Davis where the two pose as modern day news anchors alerting the listener to the constant ills of a residing in a violence driven politically oppressed environment. Staying true to the Culture Power 45 mission, Fruition is only available on vinyl. #culturepower45 www.culturepower45.com cover art by Marcellous Lovelace

Bringing Set and Costume Designs to Fruition: Made by Teams dives into the collaborative working relationships between set and costume designers with their technical counterparts throughout the theatrical production process, from concept to execution. Set and costume designers render environments and characters for a wide array of performative events; skilled artisans and technologists bring these visions to life. This book explores the dynamic between those who decide what the set and costumes should look like and those who make them work, including scene designers, costume designers, scene shops, and costume shops. The book discusses how to identify resources, ask the right questions, and engage in healthy collaborations. Following these fundamentals are practical activities and interviews with industry professionals that demonstrate how these skills can be applied to a broad range of productions and other avenues for creative design and production. Bringing Set and Costume Designs to Fruition is written for emerging professionals in set and costume design, as well as students in courses across a theatre degree program, including stagecraft, costume construction, scene design, and introduction to theatrical design and production.

Intuition to Fruition: From My Inside to My Outside tells the author’s story of surviving suicide. In her own words, author Leanne Bourgeois says: I hope to save lives by providing my personal story. My book is a self-reflection, introspection type of piece, based on my experience with health issues and trauma. I hope to offer the insights I’ve learned, along with my journey to help others struggling with feeling stuck or that there’s no step they can take. At first, I wrote this for me. I put these words together on paper to help me grieve, heal, and chart my experience. Then I got the idea that I could potentially help someone else by revealing my personal story. I talked with a friend about publishing my book, feeling concerned with the response of how personally revealing my story would be. She said, “Please publish this for my brother. He needs your story to help him.” I realized I may be a vessel for others needing help and could possibly save the life of someone facing similar thoughts of suicide. I dealt with many obstacles. These ranged from my own self-esteem, pride, ego, caring what others would think, a concussion, my physical and mental health, a family death, going through divorce, and financial problems. In the end, I felt relieved and proud I created this book.
