This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Data Warehousing and Knowledge Discovery, DaWak 2005, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in August 2005. The 51 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 196 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on data warehouses, evaluation and tools, schema transformations, materialized views, aggregates, data warehouse queries and database processing issues, data mining algorithms and techniques, association rules, text processing and classification, security and privacy issues, patterns, and cluster and classification.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th International Semantic Web Conference, ESWC 2019, held in Portorož, Slovenia. The 39 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 134 submissions. The papers are organized in three tracks: research track, resources track, and in-use track and deal with the following topical areas: distribution and decentralisation, velocity on the Web, research of research, ontologies and reasoning, linked data, natural language processing and information retrieval, semantic data management and data infrastructures, social and human aspects of the Semantic Web, and, machine learning.

During the last three decades, interest has increased significantly in the representation and manipulation of imprecision and uncertainty. Perhaps the most important technique in this area concerns fuzzy logic or the logic of fuzziness initiated by L. A. Zadeh in 1965. Since then, fuzzy logic has been incorporated into many areas of fundamental science and into the applied sciences. More importantly, it has been successful in the areas of expert systems and fuzzy control. The main body of this book consists of so-called IF-THEN rules, on which experts express their knowledge with respect to a certain domain of expertise. Fuzzy IF-THEN Rules in Computational Intelligence: Theory and Applications brings together contributions from leading global specialists who work in the domain of representation and processing of IF-THEN rules. This work gives special attention to fuzzy IF-THEN rules as they are being applied in computational intelligence. The first ICANNGA conference, devoted to biologically inspired computational paradigms, Neural Net works and Genetic Algorithms, was held in Innsbruck, Austria, in 1993. The meeting attracted researchers from all over Europe and further afield, who decided that this particular blend of topics should form a theme for a series of biennial conferences. The second meeting, held in Ales, France, in 1995, carried on the tradition set in Innsbruck of a relaxed and stimulating environment for the. exchange of ideas. The series has continued in Norwich, UK, in 1997, and Portoroz, Slovenia, in 1999. The Institute of Computer Science, Czech Academy of Sciences, is pleased to host the fifth conference in Prague. We have chosen the Liechtenstein palace under the Prague Castle as the conference site to enhance the traditionally good atmosphere of the meeting. There is an inspirational genius loci of the historical center of the city, where four hundred years ago a fruitful combination of theoretical and empirical method, through the collaboration of Johannes Kepler and Tycho de Brahe, led to the discovery of the laws of planetary orbits.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed joint postproceedings of the Third International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery in Inductive Databases, KDID 2004, held in Pisa, Italy in September 2004 in association with ECML/PKDD. Inductive Databases support data mining and the knowledge discovery process in a natural way. In addition to usual data, an inductive database also contains inductive generalizations, like patterns and models extracted from the data. This book presents nine revised full papers selected from 23 submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement together with one invited paper.
