Genesis 1-11:26 is part of The Christian Standard Commentary (CSC) series. The beginning of all beginnings is proclaimed in Genesis. God began by creating the physical world and people with spiritual qualities (soul and spirit). Genesis becomes part of the discipline of Bible reading and study begun by many each new year. “Why not start at the beginning?” we ask. With that desire in place, my husband and I picked The Daily Bible In Chronological Order 365 Daily Reading’s (TDB). I spent extra time searching out the words of God, which contributed part of the title for my book, GOD SAID IT... The expanded title, by adding A THIRTY-DAY JOURNEY, became the impetus for an expanded devotional based on God’s words and topics selected from them. God’s highest creation, man––including woman––spent their first day resting along with their creator. WOW! Wouldn’t you have liked to hear the conversation between them? It was Creator to created, Father to child. CONVERSATIONS are imaginary words of God as He and the people of Genesis interact. The journey of God’s children developed into history—His story. It is also the story of those who would be called God’s chosen people--the Jews. Some conversations extolled characteristics of “heroes of the faith” mentioned in Hebrews eleven.

Sunday School across America is on a decline. Biblical literacy is at an unprecedented low amongst believers, and it seems as if there is no end to where this could lead to in our churches. The COGIC Sunday School department desires to help aid literacy by providing quality supplemental lesson material. Enlisting help from scholars across the country, the department wrote the Interpretative Expository, an exposition for each lesson of the Sunday School curriculum. Also, to assist pastors, preachers, missionaries, and laity with sermon subjects and preparation, our team has included a sample sermon outline from one of the lessons. Reemphasize the message of Sunday School by preaching a message from the text of the lesson.

As futurist Amy Webb and synthetic biologist Andrew Hessel show in this book, within the next decade, we will need to make important decisions: whether to program novel viruses to fight diseases, what genetic privacy will look like, who will "own" living organisms, how companies should earn revenue from engineered cells, and how to contain a synthetic organism in a lab. “Speak to it”, is the first non-musical book of Dr. Barbara Ward Farmer that deals with helping and assuring all readers that “silence is not golden” when you are sick, beaten, rejected or being denied of the essence and promise of life itself. This book will give the reader a deeper insight on the authority and power one has to speak over, speak into, and speak about the walls, barriers, giants and death itself that often hinder, block and even elimate our faith in God to trust him to change our situations just by taking the courage to “speak to those things that are not, as though they were.”

Oak Cliff and the Missing Pieces is the first book written about the area's history in over three decades. It not only captures the beginnings of the early settlement, it takes the reader beyond a century and a half of growth and tracks how the community has evolved. The book is unique in that it captures the history of West Dallas in conjunction with its Oak Cliff neighbor and how the two transformed together over time into what we see today. The collection of historical accounts and hundreds of photos identify individuals and places of prominence finally memorialized in one anthology. The narrative also takes readers through facts and stories that have been ignored or concealed, revealing an authentic depiction of how the community was, at times, abused and neglected. Readers will enjoy this introspective examination of the area south and west of the Trinity and will once and for all put together the missing pieces of the storied land that has long been misunderstood. All proceeds from the sale of Oak Cliff and the Missing Pieces will go to benefit non-profit organizations in Oak Cliff and West Dallas.
