It's the last day of the Ranger promotion exam. After the top five elite recruits joined hands against the rest, D rallied those who were left behind to form a team of his own…and they have a secret weapon that just might even the playing field, the “Burst Form”! A fierce battle breaks out over the “keys” that will determine which five candidates will advance, and convictions are put to the test. Will D finally be promoted to a full member of the Ranger Force and take his first steps toward defeating the Dragon Keepers?

It's fall of their first year in high school, which means it's already time to start thinking about careers. Ogami-san learns that Yaginuma-kun wants to go to college outside of the prefecture, and is bewildered by the potential prospect of a long-distance relationship. On top of that, a formidable enemy appears: Yaginuma-kun's mother! Will she and Ogami-san be able to get along?!

D succeeded in making it through the final exam and achieved his final goal of being promoted to a full-time Ranger…even better, he defeated the Blue Keeper and stole his divine artifact. If only he didn't have to share credit with the boss monster, Peltrola. Now, as D enters the Green Squadron with his fellow recruit, Usukubo, he prepares to take down a new target: The Green Keeper! However, the test seems impossible: the candidates must retrieve a key from their assigned examiner, but the examiners' power is overwhelming! If they could work together, they might stand a chance, but they soon discover there's only a single “key” per team, and quickly turn on each other! Meanwhile, deep in the shadows, a monster boss thought long destroyed is making a move… Will D be able to survive this battle royale?
