Hacer Teologia Y Etica Teologica Frente A La Crisis De Los Abusos

Este volumen titulado "Hacer teología frente al abuso sexual" surge como resultado de un "laboratorio teológico" promovido por el Centro para la Protección Infantil y la Ética Teológica Católica en la Iglesia Mundial (CTEWC). Los participantes, a causa de la pandemia del COVID-19, durante dos años tuvieron que reunirse de manera remota en "mesas virtuales". Tras estos encuentros, veintiséis académicos compartieron sus reflexiones acerca de dicha problemática y sus posibles abordajes. La publicación de esta obra supone cierta urgencia, una urgencia que a menudo no se encuentra en otro tipo de trabajos teológicos o ética teológica. La extensión del daño a la dignidad humana causado por el abuso sexual dentro de la Iglesia plantea profundos dilemas, tanto para las disciplinas como para aquellos que las practican: ¿En qué medida hemos pasado por alto estos problemas? ¿Por qué nuestros esfuerzos en teología y ética teológica han tardado tanto en abordar estos temas? ¿De qué manera están implicadas la teología y la ética teológica en esta crisis? ¿Qué contribuciones específicas podrían ofrecer estas disciplinas para abordar constructivamente este desafío? Este volumen reúne el trabajo de diversos académicos de distintas partes del mundo, todos ellos abocados al análisis y la reflexión sobre estos y otros interrogantes.

Four (and a half) Dialogues on Homosexuality and the Bible explores four different interpretive approaches to biblical texts regarding homosexuality and same-sex marriage. Differences of interpretation are discussed openly, honestly, and charitably. The dialogues’ four characters maintain friendship with each other despite their disagreements, and so the book serves as a model of how difficult, potentially divisive conversations on a controversial topic might be conducted. Three of the four perspectives presented for examination are well represented in the existing literature; the fourth is not as familiar and is offered and developed as a proposal for bridging the divide that persists among theologically conservative Christians who honor the authority of Scripture over their thinking and their living. Ongoing conflict over this issue is destructive of the unity toward which the Bible summons all believers to strive, and so the book includes also a call to create space for one another—both individually and institutionally—for differences in theological conclusions and in community practices. Each of the dialogues begins with one of the characters telling their personal story regarding their sexuality, continues with that character’s case for their view, and concludes with a series of suggested discussion questions.

The Problem with the Dot is rooted in the idea that culture is a garden to be tended (Gen 2:15) rather than a war to be won and uses the analogy of an ecosystem to expand the details of the individual components of the theatrical ecosystem to: 1.Help those with minimal exposure to theater understand the indivisible construct of the theatrical ecosystem; 2.Identify areas of Christian neglect within each component; and 3.Emphasize strategic corrections that will result in the holistic restoration of a healthy global culture. Each chapter strengthens the case for a long-term holistic approach to the care and cultivation of global culture through the theatrical ecosystem, culminating in a call to action that is magnified by the unique opportunity presented by the 2020 global pandemic that forced a hiatus on all theatrical productions. The market will reset, and artists will revive theaters. It is my prayer that when this grand reopening occurs around the globe, Christians are an integral part of the new beginning.
