The dogs lend a unique perspective into their behaviors, adventures, illnesses, accidents and humorus episodes. Animal lovers will appreciate their mindset and the knowledge that all of their stories are true. The chorus in this book touts the theme of helping animals in need to achieve safe and loving homes. In direct correlation to this endeavor, it has been necessary to adjust pricing of this book higher than normal in order to accommodate productions expenses and have funds left over to donate to some of the many rescue groups and no-kill shelters. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. Sequel to The Maxim Chronicles, A Year with a Champion Poodle, this book continues the story of the Jordan family and their beloved dogs who gave so much richness to their lives. Follow Hallelujah, the beautiful white bitch, as she herself goes to 'The Show', wins armfuls of ribbons and prizes, then retires to making puppies. The journey repeats as Halle's best black bitch, Valmara's Highland Fling Bonnie Doon, also wins Best Puppy in Show, and thrills her family all over again. You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about Poodles, grooming, breeding, obedience training, encounters with vermin, and vets. But this is not just a book about dogs. It is also about people, families, and relationships, laced with irony and humour. Interspersed in all this dog lore the author explores ideas in philosophy, religion, consciousness and life. Anyone who has ever owned a dog knows already the truth of Will Rogers declaration: 'If there are no dogs in heaven, I don't want to go there.'

The gospel was never intended to restrain women from pursuing god or to prevent them from fulfilling their divine destiny. In his revised and updated book, which includes testimonials, Lee grady boldly proclaims the truth of the gospel: that men and women are appointed by god and empowered by Him. In 10 Lies the Church Tells Women, readers will discover: Why Jesus went out of His way to minister to and disciple women. Why so many Christian women suffer abusive marriages, and why many pastors don’t do anything about the problem. How “the Proverbs 31 woman” has been misinterpreted to deny women opportunities in the workplace.

This book will tell all you need to know about British English spelling. It's a reference work intended for anyone interested in the English language, especially those who teach it, whatever the age or mother tongue of their students. It will be particularly useful to those wishing to produce well-designed materials for teaching initial literacy via phonics, for teaching English as a foreign or second language, and for teacher training. English spelling is notoriously complicated and difficult to learn; it is correctly described as much less regular and predictable than any other alphabetic orthography. However, there is more regularity in the English spelling system than is generally appreciated. This book provides, for the first time, a thorough account of the whole complex system. It does so by describing how phonemes relate to graphemes and vice versa. It enables searches for particular words, so that one can easily find, not the meanings or pronunciations of words, but the other words with which those with unusual phoneme-grapheme/grapheme-phoneme correspondences keep company. Other unique features of this book include teacher-friendly lists of correspondences and various regularities not described by previous authorities, for example the strong tendency for the letter-name vowel phonemes (the names of the letters ) to be spelt with those single letters in non-final syllables.
