Excerpt from Handbook of Christian Symbolism In writing and publishing this little Handbook we have been actuated by a desire to supply, in some slight degree, a want which has been much felt by the students of Christian art. We trust that it will be understood, however, that we have not had any idea of rivalling the many learned works on the subject which have been published both in this country and in France, from which we have received much valued information, and to which we must refer those who wish to go deeply into the study of Christian Symbolism. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work.
