The Book of Heathen is a guide to Heathenism, Norse Paganism and Survival, I am keeping the faith alive in the name of my family and my ancestors. Word of O?inn. Sk?l.

This is only part one of the Book of Heathen, I did not include the survival portion to make the print version a little cheaper.

It has many names; Asatru - Odinism - Heathenry - Wodenism - Northern Traditions. Historical references, modern psychological analysis, and personal experiences form the basis for a voyage of discovery into the warrior ethos within the Northern Traditions. Were the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons and other Germanic tribes mindless barbarians or misunderstood spiritual journeymen?, does the Warrior have a place in modern society? And if so, how can it help you and I evolve spiritually, emotionally and physically in an age where emphasis is placed on "Me" rather than "We," a world that puts human greed before human need?. Together we will explore the Warriors weapons of Fortitude, Humility and strength of personal will. Has the Golden Era of the Hero passed or do we need them now more than ever? The author does not claim to be an Historian, Psychologist nor for that matter an "Expert" but rather, a prolific human observer walking the Warrior path who has complete belief that the God's and Goddesses are looking down on us all. A detailed, researched and inspired book on Norse and Anglo Saxon tradition Paganism. This book is written from a different perspective to other books published on aspects of what is known variously as Asatru, The Northern Tradition and Odinism to present a handbook of accumulated data so that people can read and interpret it for themselves, aided by sometimes conflicting or complementary opinions clearly labelled, enabling the reader to develop and adapt their own theories and practices, rather than have them laid out by someone else. Where possible Pete compares more than one source of information. Trying to subjectively observe a movement from within, whilst being a part of it oneself is a delicate path to tread, but in this book Pete does an admirable job, separating them from the historical data being presented.
