Rex "TW" McMurtry’s perpetual single-hood wouldn't bother him so much if all his ex-girlfriends didn't keep marrying the very next person they dated, especially when so many of those grooms are his closest friends. He may be a pro-football defensive end for the Chicago Squalls, but the press only wants to talk about how he's always a groomsman and never a groom. Rex is sick of being the guy before the husband, and he’s most definitely sick of being the best man at all their weddings. Bartender Abigail McNerny is the gal-pal, the wing-woman, the she-BFF. She's dated. Once. And once was more than enough. Privy to all the sad stories of her customers, ‘contentment over commitment’ is her motto, and Abby is convinced no one on earth could ever entice her into a romantic relationship . . . except that one guy she’s loved since preschool. The guy who just walked into her bar. The guy who doesn’t recognize her. The guy who is drunk and needs a ride home. The guy who has a proposition she should definitely refuse.

At every sunrise he runs around the land, announcing that he is the best and that no one can match his speed or strength. Many of the fowls in Lavandale grow tired of Ricky’s behavior. They complain to the Guardian Council, which decides to assign Ricky to guard the egg factory in the hopes of making him more responsible. However after two days, Ricky grows bored and returns to his old ways. While he’s away from the egg factory making his morning proclamations for everyone to hear, two rattlesnakes take two eggs. While Ricky and Cappi are exploring, they see some hawks flying. Bobby Cinema has written seven detective stories in one book about each different character going through solving a difficult case, being in the action and deal with real intensive stuff they had to go through from solving cases. For these seven ordinary detectives and their team, their work usually ends up in a library, which is their sanctuary and a place to read and relax at the same time. The first detective series is called Raymond: Librarian PI. Ray Levenstein, a former FBI agent, took over the head librarian job from his friend Jerry who helped him get in the LAPD police academy and became his mentor when he grew up. He was forced into retirement when he was shot in the line of fire when he was a FBI agent. Ray was well respected and highly decorated as an FBI agent, but he decided to retire at a young age of thirty-five. He took over Jerry’s job as a head librarian in the Los Angeles Public Library and decided to run a detective agency in his library since he has a PI license. He hires Kevin Sandler, Nick Arbuckle, and Alyson Harris who joined the PI team. Thank you for reading the Seven Librarian Detective series. I hope you enjoy reading them. Who knows, maybe I can come up with another princess story in another time. This is my seventh book that I turn my seven librarian detective stories in one book. See you next time, and the library is now closed. Good-bye!

Jenifer finished third in his weight class in Maryland's state high-school wrestling tournament. It's a nice accomplishment, but it wouldn't merit a book except that he was born with no legs to a poor family in a high-crime area of Prince George's County. He walked on his hands and had to avoid both glass and the residue from irresponsible pet owners. Eventually, his mother and stepfather moved to a more rural area and enrolled him in a new virtually all-white school in Huntington. It was there he decided to wrestle. His larger struggle hasn't been athletics but--as with all physically challenged youngsters--to fit in. Wrestling helped, but so did his involvement with student government. Jenifer seems almost as proud of his efforts on the homecoming committee as he does his wrestling successes. He's a down-to-earth young man with aspirations to become involved in the criminal-justice system, and he gratefully acknowledges all those who helped him along the way and seems ready to see what he can accomplish as an adult. It's an inspirational story related humbly and evenhandedly. --Wes Lukowsky Copyright 2006 Booklist.
