The students in Miss Mackle's third-grade class enjoy a day of Halloween surprises, including Harry's unusual costume.

The holiday season is here, and the kids in Room 3B are learning about all the different ways people celebrate. In addition to Christmas and Hanukkah, there's Kwanzaa, Three Kings Day, Korean New Year, and more. All the talk about holidays has everyone feeling festive. Everyone, that is, except Harry. He doesn't seem to care about the holidays, the class pet, or even the new student in class. It's clear that something is bugging Harry—but what could it be?

Doug discovers that though being Harry's best friend in Miss Mackle's second grade class isn't always easy, as Harry likes to do horrible things, it is often a lot of fun.

Miss Mackle's class is learning about their ancestors, and everyone just found out that Ida's great-great grandmother sailed on the Titanic-and lived to tell about it. Miss Mackle decides to take the class on a riverboat ride to help them imagine what it was like to travel on the high seas like their ancestors did. Another uproarious caper in the Horrible Harry series, and this time Harry's not the one breaking the rules! Everyone in Room 3B knows that if Miss Mackle sees you playing with toys at your desk, she'll confiscate them for her June Box. So when a substitute teacher catches good girl Song Lee with a pink origami pig, into the June Box it goes. The problem is that this origami was to be a birthday present for Song Lee's grandmother. So Song Lee does the unthinkable: she breaks into the June Box to free her pig. Now Harry, Doug, and the rest of the kids have to work together--before they all wind up in horrible trouble!
