Our children are involved in these and many other sports or sports-related activities, whether informally or on teams. We wondered: What might Jewish ethical teachings have to say about how to be a mensch - a person of integrity - in the world of sports? Out of a frustrating search for quality children's books on the subject, this book was born. The Big Question we shared with our students: What is a mensch, and how can I be one? We discussed a variety of "mensch values" drawn from traditional Jewish sources, and the children then wrote sports-related stories-fiction, non-fiction, and sometimes a blend of both! Our hope is that other children (and adults) will find these stories both inspirational and entertaining.

Most fundamentally, the financial proposals were hugely disappointing, with the only really positive development being the eventual introduction of Financial Fair Play rules despite the football authorities' initial reluctance.
