This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 27th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies, ICIST 2021, held in Kaunas, Lithuania, in October 2021. The 24 full papers and 6 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 79 submissions. The papers discuss such topics as ​business intelligence for information and software systems, intelligent methods for data analysis and computer aided software engineering, information technology applications, smart e-learning technologies and applications, language technologies.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies, ICIST 2014, held in Druskininkai, Lithuania, in October 2014. The 34 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 68 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections such as information systems; business intelligence for information and software systems; software engineering; information technology applications.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies, ICIST 2012, held in Kaunas, Lithuania, in September 2012. The 40 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 81 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on artificial intelligence and knowledge engineering, business process modelling, analysis and design, formal analysis and design methods, information and software systems engineering, information technology applications and computer networks, information technology in teaching and learning, ontology, conceptual modelling and databases, requirements engineering and business rules.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for this event, we are glad to welcome you to IWASE 2006, the First International Workshop on Advanced Software Engineering. We hope you will enjoy the traditional Chilean hospitality and, of course, please tell us how we can make your visit a pleasant and useful experience. The goal of this Workshop is to create a new forum for researchers, professionals and educators to discuss advanced software engineering topics. A distinctive feature of this Workshop is its attempt to foster interactions between the Latin-American software engineering community and computer scientists around the world. This is an opportunity to discuss with other researchers or simply to meet new colleagues. IWASE 2006 has been organized to facilitate strong interactions among those attending it and to offer ample time for discussing each paper. IWASE 2006 attracted 28 submissions from 14 countries, 8 of them outside Latin-America. Each of the 28 articles was reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. As a result of this rigorous reviewing process, 13 papers were accepted: nine fiill papers and four work-in-progress papers. These papers were grouped in four tracks; software architecture, software modeling, software development process and experiences in software development.

Proceedings of the 2012 International Conference on Information Technology and Software Engineering presents selected articles from this major event, which was held in Beijing, December 8-10, 2012. This book covers two applications of ontologies in software engineering and software technology: sharing knowledge of the problem domain and using a common terminology among all stakeholders; and filtering the knowledge when defining models and metamodels.
