Inspector West Regrets

Things are not going well for Roger West, one of Scotland Yard’s finest detectives. He has received a bloody nose; been robbed of important papers; shot at; attacked with a knife; and been accused of dereliction of duty. Moreover, the Home Office were concerned about Andrew Kelham, whose son had been murdered and cleaner strangled.

With vital Cold War talks at risk, Roger West of the Yard must out-think the FBI if he is to save Ricky Shawn. A frightened ten year old, Ricky has been kidnapped as a pawn in a ruthless game with drugs, crushed bodies, and mayhem all trailing back to his fate. West must move fast to save him, and yet an enormous shock lays ahead as he proceeds.

Two routine car accidents raise little suspicion, but then a third appears to be attempted murder. Roger ‘Handsome’ West of Scotland Yard has to ensure a Prince arrives in London safely. However, as the oil-magnate Prince crosses a Cathedral Square, a shot rings out. The Prince’s main Counsellor lies dead. Jim Barnett catches it all on camera, but then he too is murdered. It is up to West to solve the mystery, but just who is he up against?
